Taurus May 2019

Taurus (20 April – 20 May)

Your planet, Venus, is playing catch up until the 15th. Venus remains in Aries and the most hidden sector of your horoscope until then. Aries represents privacy and secrets in your chart; it’s about being quiet and inner. It’s also about caring for yourself and taking care of other people.

Time Out

You may want more time to yourself in the first half of May, whether you enjoy solitary activities such as reading or journalling. Or you simply sit and are quiet. When Venus is in Aries, it’s an ideal time to tend for your inner life and gently stroke and soothe your inner critic.

You might have some big decisions to make this month too, perhaps regarding travel or study. At times, your dreams could seem beyond your reach, impossible to attain.

Notice what happens when your planet Venus clashes with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn and your travel and study sector on the 7th & 9th. Sometimes, this flags up fear and doubt or real obstacles in your path. Make sure you differentiate between the two.

Positive Money Vibes

Money plays a key role in your endeavours and this is a month to use your earthy common sense to see what’s possible and what’s not. Up until the 16th, action planet Mars is in Gemini and your personal money sector. This is potentially ambitious and gives you drive to earn more or sort out your financial situation. You want to make things happen and fast.

Also, you have expansive Jupiter in Sagittarius and your joint finance sector. Jupiter’s positive vibes kick in on the 3rd & 9th, key dates to trust your luck and develop a strong inner faith. You may not believe in the Law of Attraction but Jupiter’s influence swells through positive affirmations and generosity of spirit.

Taurus New Moon

These dates fall close to the New Moon on the 4th and this is a special New Moon for you as it takes place in your star sign, Taurus. New Moons are brilliant for setting your intentions and starting afresh. They hold within them the promise of the new so make a wish when you first see the crescent Moon in the night sky. This will be on the night of the 5th or 6th.

This is a clear indication that this is your time of year. The Sun represents vitality and energy and it’s in Taurus until the 21st. Make the most of your birthday month and put yourself first. Line up some events that make you feel good about yourself. This might include pampering and looking after your body, your image and profile.

It would be a good time to work on yourself, whether you sign up for a personal development course or boost your skills and talents in some way. Invest in yourself now so you can be your best self moving forwards.

Turn your gaze towards the future and line up some new experiences and adventures for yourself. Work out what it is that’s holding you back and then take steps to find answers to questions and solutions to problems.

Full Moon Excitement

Remember too that you have Uranus, the planet of change, in your star sign, Taurus. It took up residence here in March 2019 and is strong this month on the 8th and 18th. In fact, the 18th could be a remarkable date for you. This is when Venus, your ruler, sits next to innovative Uranus.

Plus, this combination takes place on the same day as a Full Moon which graces the world with its light and beauty. Trust your intuition on or around the 18th, do something special and find a way to shine your light brightly.

Love and money are under the spotlight during the Full Moon and things could happen quickly. You may be the one who leaps into action and acts spontaneously. Or perhaps, it’s your other half who treats you or surprises you in some way.

This Full Moon falls in Scorpio and your relationship sector and it cuts across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of the zodiac. This promises something special for love and relationships, whether you’re breaking free or falling in love.

You have love planet, Venus, in your star sign from the 15th onwards. Make the most of this gorgeous influence and, once again, put yourself first. Kindness breeds kindness and love dominates over hate. Bring more beauty into the world just because you can and flex your artistic and creative muscles.

It’s All About You

For you, May’s big theme is about restoring your confidence and focusing primarily on yourself. You might find that other people are a boon to you once Mars enters Cancer and your communication sector on the 16th. This is ideal for networking and being part of your community.

On the whole, turn your attention to you, consider where you’re heading and what next. It’s an excellent month to bring more stability into your life and practise gratitude for all that you have. You are the builder and creator of the zodiac, so tend to your garden and see what you can make grow.

Money matters kick in again on the 21st when there’s a lively Sun/Mercury conjunction in Gemini and your personal money sector. This is a great date to choose for an important meeting or conversation around money.

You gain nothing now from staying put and limiting yourself to your comfort zone. Stretch beyond what you know. If Uranus pulls the rug out from under you, even more reason to reinvent yourself, let go of the past and move on.

Saturn Turns Retrograde: Between A Rock And A Hard Place

Saturn turns retrograde [20 Capricorn 31]

– April 30, 2019 (01:54 GMT+1)

Saturn, the planet which represents time, authority, responsibility, discipline and limitation turns retrograde this week. Nothing unusual there. All the slower-moving planets turn retrograde once a year for a few months at time.

If you have planets/angles at the degree where the planet is turning, you often feel or notice that particular planet’s presence in your life more acutely. You may be aware of a turning point in the area of your horoscope where the planet is changing direction.

Retrograde planets turn your attention inwards. The work takes place on the inside ready for when the planet turns direct. In Saturn’s case, this happens on September 18, 2019. Saturn will retreat back to 13 degrees Capricorn 55. Notice if you run into a roadblock early this week. Consider where things aren’t working out the way you want them to. Is it time to stop or dig deeper as more work is required?

Saturn conjunct the South Node

What is unusual about this retrograde phase of Saturn is the placing of the South Node. The Nodes are karmic points in astrology. The South Node represents your comfort zone, your habits, where you retreat to when life gets tough. Sometimes, it indicates what’s not good for you and what you’re working towards releasing or letting go.

Keep these symbols in mind because as Saturn turns retrograde it does so conjunct the South Node in Capricorn. Also, Saturn will keep pace with the South Node as they retreat through the zodiac side-by-side. They only part ways when Saturn turns direct in September 2019.

What Does It All Mean?

This is unusual symbolism. When you look at the meaning of both symbols, in some ways, they represent opposite archetypes. Saturn’s nature is relentless, stubborn, determined. It can put immovable blocks in your way, obstacles that are solid or real. Whereas the South Node’s nature feels more boundless, the places you fall in to or where in life you give in.

Here are a few ideas of how this might play out for you:

  • You feel as if you’re going backwards and you’re stuck
  • You’re learning lessons the hard way
  • You’re falling into bad habits and feeling despondent
  • You’ve run up against an obstacle and need to find an alternative solution
  • You’re fed up of feeling stuck and you’re determined to do things differently
  • You’re ready to let go of fear or doubt and release habitual behaviour
  • Something in your life isn’t working out and you’re ready to move on
  • You need more time alone and are seeking solitude and quiet
  • You’re ready to step off the treadmill and stop working so hard
  • An inner/spiritual path is calling you, one that’s less to do with work and materialism

Once you start playing around with the symbolism, you realise that this can mean more than one thing. There’s no absolute answer about what it means for you. It depends on you, your current situation and, perhaps, how strong you are feeling right now.

What this combination does call for is a reality check. Look deep within to see what’s holding you back and where you’re ready to learn, let go and move on. You may feel as if you’re stuck between a rock and hard place. Yet, with a shift in perspective, you might be able to see things differently.

Don’t force it if it doesn’t feel right. Be patient and consider your long-term options. This is the ideal time to draw up a plan that helps you tackle a sticking point in your life. Aim to stay on track until September when Saturn and the South Node part ways.

Here’s a reminder of the areas of your life where you’re most likely to feel the Saturn/South Node combination. Read your Sun sign and your Ascendant sign, if you know it:

  • Capricorn – 1st house – personal goals/aims, physical body, image & self-perception
  • Aquarius – 12th house – sacrifice, inner work, a spiritual retreat, caring for self & others
  • Pisces – 11th house – friends, groups, politics, social causes, hopes & wishes
  • Aries – 10th house – career & vocation, status & reputation, authority, future path
  • Taurus – 9th house – travel, study, the bigger picture, life’s meaning & purpose
  • Gemini – 8th house – joint finances & shared resources, taboos, all things hidden & mysterious
  • Cancer – 7th house – relationships, both personal & professional, contracts, enemies
  • Leo – 6th house – work & routine, lifestyle & health, service to others
  • Virgo – 5th house – children & creativity, love affairs & luck, fun & entertainment
  • Libra – 4th house – home & family, the past, your legacy, where you come from
  • Scorpio – 3rd house – communication, siblings, neighbours, community, your voice
  • Sagittarius – 2nd house – money & possessions, values & self-worth

Do let me know in the comments below how this is playing out for you. It brings the astrology to life when we see what the planetary symbolism coincides with in our own lives.

Jupiter Retrograde: Fire, Fire Burning Bright

Jupiter turns retrograde [24 Sagittarius 21] – April 10 2019 (18:00 GMT +1)

Jupiter turns direct [14 Sagittarius 30] – August 11 2019 (14:38 GMT +1)

Big planet, Jupiter, turned retrograde this week at 24 degrees Sagittarius, one of the fire signs, on April 10th. Jupiter is the planet of opportunity and expansion, linked to foreign connections, higher education and the bigger picture in life.

Over the next few months, Jupiter will repeat its steps through the zodiac until it reaches 14 degrees Sagittarius on August 11th, when it turns direct.

Jupiter retrograde is great for planning, working on your mind-set, practising gratitude, shifting your perspective. It’s inner work that counts.

Also, it means you get two more bites of the cherry if you have key planets/angles between 14 – 24 degrees Sagittarius. This applies to the same degrees in some of the other star signs, but it’s the conjunction by transit that’s most important.

Some astrologers say the retrograde transit of Jupiter by conjunction delivers the goods. I agree as my publishing contract came in on Jupiter’s retrograde transit by conjunction to my natal Mercury (writing), two years ago. In fact, it happened almost to the day as Jupiter returned to 16 Libra.

Check out your planets/angles at the key degrees mentioned. Jupiter’s luck may be about to bring a new opportunity your way.

Fire, Fire Burning Bright

black holeTalking about Jupiter retrograde in my weekly astrology newsletter last week, I suggested it was a good time to ‘go higher’.

On the exact day that Jupiter switched direction in Sagittarius, first images of a black hole went viral (see photo on right). Jupiter’s expansive gaze literally soared higher and further into the universe revealing its fiery magnificence.

Only a few days after Jupiter’s change of direction, on April 14th, the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris burst into flames. It was an amazing experience, not only a tragedy for the beautiful Gothic building and the city of Paris, but for the outpouring of love, prayers, also, huge wealth for this iconic cathedral.

It didn’t escape my notice that this also resonated with Jupiter’s turn in direction. The church (Jupiter) bursting into flames (fire sign Sagittarius).

Symbolically, you can see the Pluto/Saturn/South Node combination working here as established structures (Saturn) are destroyed (Pluto). Yet, let’s not count out Jupiter’s symbolism. When Jupiter first entered Sagittarius back in November 2018, devastating wild fires broke out in California.

There’s been much talk of the symbolism of Notre Dame’s destruction and its subsequent survival from complete annihilation. Whether it’s a message from the Divine Feminine – Notre Dame means ‘Our Lady’ – a symbol of warning or of hope, the movements of the planets hint at the angry Gods testing our faith and challenging us to take action.

Pluto Conjunct South Node: Road To Nowhere

There’s some major astrology taking place next year and we’re already feeling this building in the world. The premise of astrology is ‘as above, so below’, i.e. what’s happening in the movement of the planets is reflected in life on earth.

Saturn/Pluto Conjunction

The major event is a conjunction of Saturn (authority) & Pluto (power) in Capricorn on January 12, 2020. This conjunction takes place once every 30-40 years. Next year’s conjunction is significant because of the star sign it’s in. Capricorn represents government, big business, the establishment.

Pluto is a destroyer by nature, it purges, wipes away. Since Pluto’s move into Capricorn in 2008, we’ve seen major shifts in the world of finance (2008 was the last financial crash), also government & world leadership. Pluto remains in Capricorn for another five years.

My theory is that Saturn coming along behind Pluto is a good thing. Saturn is strong in Capricorn, its sign of rulership. Therefore, it’s cleaning up Pluto’s corruption & absolute power and establishing new rules.

Old Order v. New Order

As we know in the battle of the Gods in mythology, the Old order has to be defeated before the New order can reign. This is a clear symbol of what’s happening astrologically.

Old established structures are breaking apart, political laws are being exposed as archaic and outdated, leaders as incompetent. We’re seeing this around the world in the UK, USA and many other countries besides.

Living in the UK, Brexit is currently a shambles and we may well be heading for a ‘no deal’ as we stumble out of Europe (which would fit this particular astrology, see description of Pluto/nodes below).

The New order begins December 2020, when there’s a Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in Aquarius – another key planetary event which happens every 20 years. Aquarius is more closely aligned to the collective, democracy, the people. Together, Jupiter & Saturn are strong leaders, both attuned to decent values.

In the world, we’re witnessing a real divide between poor & corrupt leadership based on lies & greed versus ethical & heart-led leadership based on truth & equality. The necessary readjustment is already underway.

Pluto conjunct South Node

This week, exact on April 4th, but active for a longer period, Pluto in Capricorn is conjunct the South Node, a karmic point in astrology. This is a rare event in astrology and worth noting, especially with the impending Saturn/Pluto conjunction.

The Nodes – North Node/South Node – cut across opposite axes of the zodiac and reveal insights about your destiny, your life path; where you’ve come from and where you’re heading.

The nodes fall in alignment with the eclipse cycles. Our current eclipse cycle is moving through the star signs, Cancer & Capricorn – traditional symbols of home & family (Cancer), work & responsibility (Capricorn). It’s here where changes are taking place. This eclipse phase began in July 2018 and lasts until July 2020. Another reason why this is a key period in history.

The South Node is your comfort zone, where you retreat to or withdraw in life. It’s associated with automatic patterns and habitual behaviour. You can stay here but it won’t allow you to grow & develop or fulfil your destiny in this lifetime.

The South Node is a place of release & letting go, similar to Pluto’s purging qualities. Therefore, consider your own life and what needs releasing, what you’re moving away from. Consider where you’ve become automatic or lazy.

This key event may not be obvious to everyone. It will be more meaningful if you have planets/angles close to 23 degrees Capricorn or planets/angles at 23 degrees which make a major aspect to this point (Personally, I use a 1 degree orb either side).

Road To Nowhere

Sometimes, the best way to describe what astrology means is to use the images that pop up in the language of symbolism. Recently, I’ve found myself running a loop in my own head of the iconic song ‘Road To Nowhere‘ by the wonderful David Byrne, lead singer of Talking Heads.

The image of David Byrne dressed in a black suit running endlessly but going nowhere seems an apt symbol for Pluto conjunct the South Node in Capricorn. We feel helpless when we can’t control events in the world or in our own lives.

You may have your own version of this relentless running, where you’re on a treadmill and find it hard to get off.

Here’s the video:

The Pluto/South Node conjunction can flag up where it’s time to let go, move on, give in. It reveals what’s not working out or where you have no control. All you can do is navigate your way forwards as best you can keeping in step with the changes taking place, wherever they lead you.

This process continues throughout this year and peaks in 2020. Later this month, April 2019, Saturn in Capricorn is also conjunct the South Node, so don’t turn a blind eye to whatever’s unravelling or falling apart.

(Please read your monthly horoscopes if you haven’t already – they will help you understand more about these major astrological shifts of Pluto/Saturn/South Node. Click on Monthly at the top of the page.)

I have another tune running through my head for Saturn conjunct the South Node – I wonder if you can guess what it is? (to be revealed at the end of April…)

Continue Your Life’s Celebration

A final word:

“Let go of the spirit of the departed

and continue your life’s celebration”

The quote above is by Allen Ginsberg (b. June 3, 1926). A Sun Gemini with a strong Pisces signature in his chart, Ginsberg was born with Pluto in Cancer conjunct the North Node in the 4th house. Pluto is a symbol of the departed as God of the Underworld.

Ginsberg spoke these words to his friend, Patti Smith, after her husband and brother died in the space of a month.

Whatever the world throws at you, whatever you are faced or confronted with in your own life, you can choose to release, let go and continue your celebration of life. It’s an important message to hold on to whenever things fall apart.

New Moon Aries: Be A Daredevil

New Moon [15 Aries 17]

LONDON – Friday 5 April 2019 – 09:50 (GMT +1)

NEW YORK – Friday 5 April 2019 – 04:50 (GMT -4)

SYDNEY – Friday 5 April 2019 – 19:50 (GMT +11)

New Beginnings

Are you ready for new beginnings? The New Moon takes place this week and it’s a chance to start over. This New Moon falls in the first sign of the zodiac. This is when nature, life, you, everything leaps into action.

I don’t know about you, but I’m more than ready for a fresh start. The Equinox on March 20th when the Sun entered the first sign of the zodiac, Aries, was clouded by Mercury’s retrograde phase.

Then, when Mercury, the communication planet, turned direct on March 28th, it was conjunct Neptune and things remained foggy, uncertain, unclear. Finally, Mercury is starting to move away from Neptune and now there’s a New Moon in Aries – good news!

There’s every reason to be delighted by this New Moon, even if it is square to Saturn. Don’t let limitations hold you back and use the fresh start energy of a New Moon in Aries to good effect. This means the following:

  • Set your intentions – speak them out loud, write them down
  • Take the initiative – sow seeds that can then flourish & grow
  • Make a wish – traditionally, this is when you first catch sign of the crescent moon in the night sky
  • Get things moving – take action, be impulsive, take a risk
  • Be a dare-devil – do something bold & exciting

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac; dynamic, go-getting, full of vitality and spirit so jump to it. Start something new, let the world know who you are and what you have to offer.

Aries is one of the fire signs and the fire signs are big on personality; ‘this is who I am’. It’s the ideal time to unleash your inner warrior or inner diva as you leap into life and motivate yourself ready for the new zodiac year ahead.

Aries New Moon Guide

Here’s a quick guide to which areas of your life are motivated by the New Moon in Aries:

ARIES 1st House: Your image or online presence benefits from a makeover, a relaunch. How to quickly impress other people by the way you come across?

TAURUS 12th House: Time to reawaken your inner life, your spirituality or quest for peace of mind. Perfect for a retreat or a chance to kick-start healthy habits.

GEMINI 11th House: It’s about the friends, the groups and the personal tribe. Network and make connections, socialise and have a good time.

CANCER 10th House: Your career or vocation benefits from fresh energy, a new sense of direction. Stride out on a new path in life.

LEO 9th House: Run for the hills on a holiday with a purpose. Expand your mind and read books which inspire you and awaken your sense of adventure.

VIRGO 8th House: Be open to new ways of money management. Act fast in your pursuit of making money. Invest it, live on less, pay off a debt – whatever works for you.

LIBRA 7th House: Love thrives when you throw adventure and boldness into the mix. Be independent in business partnerships and less of a coupley couple in love.

SCORPIO 6th House: Fresh ideas rejuvenate your work routine. Create an online presence or add another skill to your portfolio. Health – you are what you eat.

SAGITTARIUS 5th House: Demand more laughter and entertainment in your life. Want to have kids? – it’s your decision. Hang out with a younger crowd. Initiate a new romance.

CAPRICORN 4th House: Inject fresh energy into your home life. Change things around, check out moving somewhere new. Organise an impromptu get-together with family or loved ones.

AQUARIUS 3rd House: Rethink your commute. Cycle or walk to get fit, run up and down stairs and escalators. Get in touch with a sibling or join a local group. Speak your mind.

PISCES 2nd House: Listen to new ideas about wealth creation and value your self more highly. Make an impulsive purchase and treat yourself.

Happy New Moon!

Pisces April 2019

Pisces (19 February – 20 March)

As April begins, two of the inner planets are moving through your star sign, Pisces. The first is communication planet, Mercury, which has been in Pisces since February 10th. This means Mercury spent most of March retrograde, i.e. in retreat.

If you experienced miscommunications recently or you’ve felt confused and lost, now’s the time to start asking the right questions so you can find your way forwards. Mercury’s been very close to your co-ruler Neptune and they meet for the third time on the 2nd.

Be More Pisces

For some, this may tap you in to your creative or spiritual source. You might be having profound thoughts or find that your imagination is unusually fertile. Continue to go with the flow, listen out for signs and trust in life in the first half of April.

Mercury remains in your star sign until the 17th. Now’s an ideal time to tap in to the best side of your Pisces star sign, the world of fantasy and dreams, your compassionate and giving nature.

Love planet, Venus, is also in Pisces until the 20th. Venus in Pisces is boundless and represents unconditional love. You may channel this love into a close relationship or have a keen desire to care for and help others. See where love leads you. Be open-hearted, generous and inclusive.

Pisces energy peaks in the middle of the monty between the 10th to the 15th. These dates could be outstanding for you, whether you see yourself in a new light or have a major insight into your personal life. The Venus-Neptune conjunction on the 10th is particularly dreamy and romantic.

Flying High – A New Vision

This is when your traditional ruling planet, Jupiter, is in action. Jupiter is currently in Sagittarius, the star sign at the peak of your horoscope. This Jupiter is full of optimism and ready for a new adventure.

Sagittarius rules your career and vocation, your future and where you’re heading. This is an ideal time to have a big vision and set up some new goals for what you want out of life. Jupiter turns retrograde on the 10th and remains on go slow until mid-August.

This means you might be working on a new project ready to launch it in September. Think of this as a gestational period and turn your attention inwards, for some of the time. In fact, it’s important that you balance the inner and outer during this phase.

For example, don’t lose sight of yourself if you’re starting a new job, role or position in life. Play big but be truthful and, most importantly, stay true to yourself. Events mid-month may reveal what this means for you personally as you set off on a new path.

Money Moves

There’s also major planetary activity this month in the fire sign Aries ruling your personal money and what you value highly in life. Hopefully, this turn of direction and fresh energy brings something new your way which boosts your finances.

There’s a New Moon in Aries on the 5th, a great date to set your intentions and sow seeds. Think of ways to make money or use your money to good effect. Plus, the Full Moon on the 19th highlights the Aries-Libra axis of the zodiac.

This confirms that partnership is the key to your success financially. Or, at the very least, you’re having to think about someone else in relation to yourself where money’s concerned. Libra is a star sign that wants everything to be just and fair. Bear this in mind if you’re caught up in any key financial negotiations in the month ahead.

Plus, Venus enters Aries on the 20th. Venus represents the sweet things in life, gifts, treats, all that’s beautiful. This can go two ways. You might receive something special or want to treat yourself and the ones you love. What you give, you receive in return is Venus’ message.

This is confirmed because of the Full Moon in Libra, the sign that rules joint finances and shared resources. Think of this as the natural flow of money and abundance. When the Sun and Moon oppose each other across the heavens on the 19th, this can manifest something special.

Home Dynamics

Also, it’s important to consider your home and family life and how that impacts on what you want to do in the world. Action planet Mars is currently down at the base of your horoscope in the star sign, Gemini.

Be ambitious about home and family plans. At the same time, ensure you have a healthy work/life balance. You don’t want to miss out on the greater potential of the Jupiter-Neptune influence which is strong in your horoscope up until September 2019 encouraging you to fly high and spread your wings.

Mars in your home and family sector can be argumentative. Perhaps, you have to confront what’s difficult in order to bring things out into the open. Ask for what you want and need and challenge anyone close who’s being difficult or holding you back.

At times, this month’s planetary activity could leave you feeling breathless or out of control. There’s a lot of fast-paced astrology in air and fire signs, the extrovert signs of the zodiac. Yet, there’s another wave taking place that’s steadying and grounding. This pulls in your connections, old and new friends alike.

Connections – The Good & The Bad

On the 20th, the Sun enters the earth sign Taurus and your communication sector. This is about your acquaintances, your local community. It represents siblings and neighbours. This is where there’s stability in your life and comfort, also innovation and excitement.

This may be evident on or around the 22nd when the Sun unites with Uranus in Taurus. This combination promises a group event that’s awakening or revelatory. Notice what you read or hear on or around the 22nd, perhaps online. This could set you on a new path or create new ideas that can run and run.

Saturn and Pluto are a more sober influence in Capricorn and your friendship and group sector. Both planets turn retrograde – Pluto on the 24th and Saturn on the 30th. Plus, there’s a rare connection between Pluto and the south node on the 4th and Saturn and the south node on the 30th, a karmic point in astrology.

This combination can be halting or limiting, in some respect. You may find yourself wanting to pull away from a group situation that stifles you or feels claustrophobic. Be careful about being pulled back into your comfort zone or automatic patterns that no longer serve you.

Aquarius April 2019

Aquarius (21 January – 18 February)

The month of April is about reinvention, new ideas and getting things moving again after a topsy-turvy couple of months. In March, Mercury, the communication planet, was retrograde, i.e in retreat or on go slow.

This can put certain plans on hold. Sometimes, you end up feeling confused about which road to take or which ideas to pursue. You chase around in circles without being able to make steady progress.

Therefore, this month is about second chances and not giving up on a goal that means a lot to you. At the same time, however, it’s important to let go of what’s not working out. Start to make some clear decisions about where you’re heading and why.

The Flow of Money

This is particularly important for you with regard to money and your personal values. If finances have been something of a mess and muddle recently, now’s the time to trust, have faith and quietly sort things out.

Mercury continues its long journey through Pisces and your personal money sector until the 17th. On the 2nd, it remains glued to Neptune, which can be creative but illusory too. Feel your way forwards carefully while, at the same time, remaining open-hearted.

This is important because Venus, the planet of relating, is in Pisces until the 20th. Venus in Pisces is boundless and giving; it’s a compassionate, kind and caring influence. This would be a good month to raise money for charity or to help out someone in need.

Alternatively, if you’re the one who’s struggling, ask for help. Ensure the flow of money keeps moving and doesn’t come to a halt or dead end. The period around the 10th to the 15th could be key in this respect. This is when the inner planets team up with the planet of opportunity, Jupiter.

Friends & Connections

Jupiter’s a similar vibe to Neptune, as it’s expansive and faithful. Jupiter is currently in Sagittarius and your friends and group sector. Look at how you can benefit one another by taking a leap of faith and pooling resources. Jupiter turns retrograde on the 10th and this may be the start of a plan or project which grows over the next few months, ready to come to fruition in September.

April’s a positive month to use your connections, teach others and pass on what you know. Sharing ideas and brainstorming can be productive. This may involve going back to school, taking a test or exam or passing new qualifications.

This is because the sign of Aries is prominent this month right from start go as the Sun is in Aries until the 20th. Aries rules communication, also education in your horoscope. It’s about your community, siblings and neighbours.

Find Your Voice

On the 5th, there’s a New Moon in Aries, a great date to sow seeds and set your intentions. Reach out to other people, line up a key meeting or interview. This is when your voice can make a difference, so speak up and start the ball rolling.

On the 17th, talk planet Mercury enters Aries and this is fast-paced and lively. In fact, you may find that you can’t stop talking with this influence, as you have a lot to say. You may be putting the world to rights, especially around the Full Moon on the 19th, which cuts across the Aries-Libra axis of the zodiac.

This is about foreign connections, what’s happening out in the world. If you’re a typical Sun Aquarius, you want to play your part within society, politics or your community. The Full Moon on March 21st was also in Libra and this whole period in the year is deeply significant. Have your say, find your voice and join in with your tribe to make a difference.

The planet of relating, Venus, is in Aries from the 20th. Look out for contacts who can help you. Create new friendships, and gravitate towards people of like minds. Improve your knowledge and use your ideas to benefit others. Talking to other people could be mind-blowingly exciting for more than one reason in the month ahead.

Love & Passion

Love too is on the agenda because Venus is the planet of love. When she’s striding through Aries, she’s a strong and direct influence. If you’re keen on meeting someone new, take the initiative, ask someone out and go get what you want.

Also, passion planet Mars is stirring up excitement in your fellow air sign Gemini, ruling romance, throughout April. There’s a thrill of the new about love and relationships. This isn’t the tried and tested route. It’s innovative and something new that rocks your boat.

The only proviso is when Mars runs into Neptune in Pisces on the 27th. Be wary of a sob story on or around this date and don’t mix emotions and finances. You need to keep your trust antennae on high alert while Neptune remains in Pisces and your personal money sector. Learning who you can and can’t trust is a key feature of this major planetary transit.

Pull of the Past

On the 20th, the Sun enters earth sign Taurus. Taurus rules your home and family, your past and where you come from. It represents a safe base in your horoscope, where you find strong foundations. You may feel an urge to return to your past now and go back in time.

Even though you may be wheeling and dealing this month, dashing here, there and everywhere, it’s important that you have somewhere you can retreat to. This may be your home or it could be people who help you feel steady and grounded.

Note, however, that the Sun teams up with your co-ruler Uranus in Taurus on the 22nd. This is the start of a lengthy transit of the planet of change moving through your home and family sector. Events close to the 22nd could highlight what this means for you. It’s personal and linked to a key relationship – making a move for love, perhaps.

Finally, be aware of what’s happening on the inside this month. Your traditional ruler Saturn is in Capricorn and the most hidden sector of your horoscope. This month, both Pluto and Saturn team up with the south node on the 4th and 30th respectively. Plus, both planets turn retrograde on the 24th and 30th respectively

This could be a key period of reassessment, wanting to know yourself on a deeper level. You might be acutely aware of automatic behaviour or habitual patterns.

You may have to weigh up where your responsibilities lie and how that makes you feel on the inside. This process starts now and continues until September 2019. Notice who or what is slowing you down or pulling you back.
