Mercury stations Direct

September 30th ~ October 7th

“Sailing in the Mist” by Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky

Just so. Opening your eyes is all that is needing. The heart lies and the head plays tricks with us, but the eyes are true. Look with your eyes. Hear with your ears. Taste with your mouth. Smell with your nose. Feel with your skin. Then comes the thinking, afterward, and in that way knowing the truth. ~ George R. R. Martin

On October 2nd Mercury stations in preparation for its apparent direct motion. And so ends the current retrograde phase of Mercury. But not so fast. It will take a bit for Mercury to pick up speed once again. And in the days leading up to the station we are also gradually adjusting to what we are accustomed to calling ‘normal’. There are shifts in perception as things are trying to fall into that semblance of normalcy.

But here’s the issue: As Mercury stations direct this week, it is also opposing nebulous Neptune. Mercury is strong in Virgo and is desperately trying to put the pieces of the puzzle all back together again. But under the confabulating rays of Neptune, it cannot trust what it is seeing, hearing and sensing. The fog rolls in, the tides are swirling, and the light is dim. And as if that is not enough, Mars too is joining the fray.

Mars is now slowing for its retrograde station on October 30th. And as it does so it is also applying to a square to Neptune, creating a mutable t-square between stationing Mercury in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces, and square Mars slowing for its station in Gemini. This is, by the way, the stuff of which foul weather brews. And here we are in the midst of Hurricane season, while a category 4-5 hurricane having just barreled its way into the state of Florida. We’ll all be feeling this personally as well.

These prevailing Neptune afflictions hovering in the background can make us all feel as if we are adrift, uncertain or inundated in our own diluvian storm surge. Things get beyond us. We lose track. We are confused by mixed messages. The dishes pile up in the sink, and the laundry does not get done. Thankfully the Mercury/Neptune transit does not perfect. Mercury comes very close to the opposition, and then turns tail. And thankfully so. And that’s where stationing Pluto takes over.

Pluto will station direct on October 8th. And whenever planets station they are strong and present. And as Mercury stations this weekend, it is making a strong trine to Pluto. There are two exact Mercury/Pluto trines: one on September 27th, and again on October 6th. And this is what saves the day. So that even as we are awash in the veil of all that Neptune uncertainty, and even as we don’t quite trust our own senses yet, Mercury/Pluto cuts through all the lies, the confusion and the chaos with the proverbial sword of discrimination. Usually an opposition would be able to trump a trine, but in this case the opposition to Neptune is like a lingering hangover, while the trine to Pluto is a well honed and sharpened blade.

What this weather is good for:

  • Compassion and connection: When Neptune dissolves boundaries and inundates us, it also lays bare the reality that we are all here swimming together in this great ocean of experience we call life. We are all intricately bound to one another on these subtle planes. But when Neptune comes to call it simply can not be denied. Recognizing these subtle interconnections awakens our compassion, and opens our hearts.

  • Getting to the bottom cause of an issue and fixing it: Mercury/Pluto delves deep beneath the surface. Therefore this is an excellent time for therapy and self-realization, in addition to understanding why the technology isn’t working the way it should.

  • Solving a mystery or figuring out a puzzle: Same as above. Mercury/Pluto is focused and determined to solve the puzzle, and will relentlessly stay focused on figuring it out to the exclusion of all else.

  • Following through with a hunch: This is deeply intuitive weather. Neptune aims to open up the senses, and Pluto sees the patterns in the tea leaves. Virgo follows up with practical application.

  • Making sense of the insensible: Mercury in Virgo is strong and well organized! And resourceful. It organizes the drawers, itemizes the bills and cleans all the dishes piled up in the sink. It is not deterred by the fog rolling in, or the lights turning off, but is prepared with batteries and flashlights as needed.

  • Revealing that the Emperor has no clothes: Mercury/Pluto sees through all the subterfuge, the lies, our own fears, doubts and hesitance, and cuts straight to the truth. It sees true. And is not afraid to say so.

Pisces Horoscope October 2022

Pisces horoscope, fishes

October could turn out to be the pivotal month of the year. There’s so much big astrology taking place, some of it echoing what’s coming in 2023. Here’s what’s most significant for you to take note of:

Mercury Turns Direct

On the 2nd, the planet of communication Mercury turns direct. This spells good news as it’s been an unusually chaotic Mercury retrograde phase. The planet of communication switched direction on September 10th.

Hopefully, news or information may come to light once Mercury is back up to speed. Mercury turns direct in Virgo and your relationship sector. Therefore, it’s a good time to reach out to others and reopen the lines of communication.

Mercury will remain in Virgo until the 11th, an ideal time to sort out any partnership issue that cropped up over the last three weeks.

Full Moon Aries

Mercury will join the Sun & Venus in air sign Libra on the 11th. The day before, on the 9th, there’s a powerful Full Moon cutting across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac.

This is the financial axis of your horoscope and Full Moons often bring clarity. This is when the light of the Moon is at its brightest and an ideal time to trust your intuition regarding money & investments.

Libra rules all forms of joint finances in your horoscope, e.g. mortgages, taxes, inheritance, alimonies, savings & debt. Whereas Aries rules your personal money, your assets & possessions, your values & self-worth.

On the 12th, Mercury in Libra opposes your ruling planet Jupiter in Aries. This may flag up where there’s a discrepancy around money or a disagreement. You might have one idea, whereas your partner, either personal or professional, has a completely different idea.

Also, note where you’re being generous, perhaps overly so, and whether this is doing you any favours. It’s not a time to act based on your emotions either. Air signs dominate during the mid-month period – Gemini, Libra, Aquarius – and air signs are logical, rational & objective. Therefore, you’re wise to make decisions based on your head rather than your heart.

This could be a time when you’re considering what next. You might be ready to let go of an attachment to your past. Or, perhaps you’re thinking about your home and family and your future path.

There is a sense that you may need to dive back into past issues this month for different reasons. Most important is the fact that your ruling planet Jupiter moves back into your star sign Pisces on the 28th. Jupiter only remains here until December 20th, a short while, but this may prove significant.

Where do you need to go back to the drawing board and check out that you’re on track with your personal goals and aims? Jupiter’s the planet of growth and expansion, luck and good fortune. Start thinking about this in October and know that November is the month when you may be ready to make a leap of faith.

Solar Eclipse Scorpio

On the 23rd, the Sun enters Scorpio alongside Venus, the planet of relating. The Sun & Venus are side-by-side throughout October, emphasising the importance of partnership in your life.

This may be financial & emotional when they’re together in Libra up until the 22nd. Then, from the 23rd onwards, things take a more exotic turn.

This is because Scorpio is a fellow water sign and rules travel and study in your horoscope, the bigger picture. Sometimes, when you have Venus here, you enjoy a holiday romance or love and foreign connections are linked.

Two days after the Sun & Venus move into Scorpio, there’s a powerful Solar Eclipse on the 25th. This is part of the eclipse cycle that began in November 2021 and completes in October 2023. A Solar Eclipse is a New Moon with oomph. Yes, it’s a symbol of new beginnings but sometimes one door has to close before a new door can open.

Do read the eclipse do’s and don’ts below but look out for a new opportunity that comes your way that you can take advantage of. This is the only Solar Eclipse in Scorpio during the whole eclipse cycle and it would be an exciting time to say yes to a new adventure or experience.

Mars Retrograde

Finally this month, action planet Mars turns retrograde in Gemini the star sign at the base of your horoscope. This happens on the 30th and Mars remains on go slow until January 12, 2023.

Mars retrograde advice is to take your foot off the accelerator and slow things down. Sometimes, you can be up against opposition or other people are out to frustrate you.

A property deal could be delayed during this period. Or, perhaps you have to take care of someone in your family and it takes some getting used to a new situation.

Ideally, you want to sign and seal a deal before Mars turns retrograde in the star sign linked to communication. What Mars retrograde is good for is for reviewing things, planning, coming up with ideas and reworking your strategy. Then, you can leap into action when Mars is moving forward early next year.

Also, it’s important to note that the key planetary aspect for Mars is a square aspect to your modern ruler Neptune in Pisces. This takes place on the 12th and will repeat next month. This can confuse the issue and you need to be careful that your motives are true.

It would be easy to try and seduce or persuade other people to do what you want but be wary that this could backfire on you. Also, be careful what you say or write as words could be used against you during the Mars retrograde phase. Be less slippery and more astute.

Eclipse Do’s & Don’ts

Eclipse season kicks in this month & next as the Taurus/Scorpio eclipse cycle continues. Here are some eclipse tips:

  • Try not to fear an eclipse – they are a reminder that you’re not always in control.
  • Ideally, don’t choose an eclipse date to launch a project or start something new.
  • Wait a few days after an eclipse before taking action. Eclipse symbolism is shadowy and hidden.
  • Once the eclipse shadow lifts, then you can try to take advantage of any changes that have occurred.
  • Know that the eclipses are closely linked to the karmic nodes & wheel of destiny – sometimes, they offer a turning point ready or not.

Aquarius Horoscope October 2022

Aquarius horoscope, snow fox

October could turn out to be the pivotal month of the year. There’s so much big astrology taking place, some of it echoing what’s coming in 2023. Here’s what’s most significant for you to take note of:

Mercury Turns Direct

As October begins, the planet of communication Mercury switches direction on the 2nd. Mercury turned retrograde on September 10th and this is a welcome turning point. It’s been an unusually chaotic Mercury retrograde phase. When Mercury turns direct, this often brings news or information to light.

Mercury picks up speed in Virgo and your joint finance sector. You may be involved in sorting finances out as October begins, creating new systems or tidying up your financial situation. Mercury remains here until the 11th and teams up with Pluto in Capricorn on the 7th.

This combination is definitive. Therefore, one way or another you may have to sign a contract or make a decision regarding finances. This might mean cutting your losses or letting go of the past but the astrology suggests it’s the right time to move on.

Money matters are foreground from the 28th onwards, when expansive Jupiter returns to Pisces and your personal money sector. Jupiter will only be here for a short time until December 20th but it does indicate that you may have to make some big moves this month where money’s concerned.

Full Moon Aries

On the 9th, there’s a Full Moon cutting across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac. Aries is a passionate fire sign that rules communication in your horoscope. Yet, this Full Moon is dominated by air signs, your element and this favours objectivity, rationality & logic.

All three of the air signs – Gemini, Libra, Aquarius – are dominant from the 12th to the 23rd. The Full Moon is when you’re most likely to be making a key decision, perhaps around travel or study, culture or learning. You might be at a workshop or course during the Full Moon weekend.

Or, perhaps you’re abroad and liaising with people from different backgrounds or cultures to yourself. If you’re true to your star sign birthright, you are the humanitarian sign of the zodiac, a global citizen.

Your traditional planet Saturn takes on a key role on the following dates – 12th, 14th & 23rd. This is when you may be playing a supportive role to other people. Or, perhaps you’re in a position of leadership and working alongside a diverse group of people.

It’s important to note that your ruler Saturn turns direct on the 23rd and begins its journey out of your star sign Aquarius where it’s been for the last 3 years. Come March 2023, Saturn will change star sign and won’t return for another 29 years.

A lot depends on how you’ve experienced Saturn in Aquarius what this means for you. Sometimes, it’s about a period of authority, duty or responsibility. Other times, you’re dealing with hardship or lack.

Aim for stability and solidity once Saturn switches direction and don’t feel that you have to go it alone this month. There’s power in numbers.

Solar Eclipse Scorpio

On the 23rd, the Sun enters Scorpio alongside the planet of relating Venus. Scorpio is an intense water sign and is at the peak of your horoscope. This is about your career and vocation, your future path.

Plus, two days later, there’s a powerful Solar Eclipse in Scorpio on the 25th. This is part of the eclipse cycle that began in November 2021 and completes in October 2023. A Solar Eclipse is a New Moon with oomph. It’s a symbol of new beginnings, although sometimes the new beginnings emerge from an ending.

Check out the eclipse do’s and don’ts at the end of this article and be attentive to what’s happening. It may be that someone leaves a job or role vacating a position and you’re able to step in.

Or, perhaps you’re ready for a completely fresh start. It’s a powerful eclipse cycle when the eclipses cut across the foundations of your horoscope – your past & your future. You often change jobs or direction in life and you often move home or your family situation alters in some respect.

Mars Retrograde

Finally this month, passion planet Mars turns retrograde on the 30th. Mars represents drive and ambition and is currently in Gemini, a fellow air sign, where it’s been since August 20th.

Gemini rules all the good things in life in your horoscope. It’s about play rather than work, children, lovers, creativity, entertainment and fun.

When Mars is retrograde, the advice is to take your foot off the accelerator and not push too hard. Sometimes, you’re not the one in control or you get frustrated due to other people’s actions.

Mars will remain retrograde until January 12, 2023 and it’s an ideal time for planning and reworking your strategy. If this is about romance, you may need to rethink your relationship moving forward.

The planet of love Venus is a key player throughout October and flags up the possibility of a holiday romance when love and foreign connections come together.

Try not to rush into things once Mars is on go slow and be wary around money. You might get a sense of what this is about on or around the 12th when Mars clashes with Neptune in Pisces and your money sector.

Sometimes, this flags up a theme of scams or seduction, being fooled or deceived. Don’t put anything in writing that could work against you while Mars is retrograde in Gemini, the communication sign.

Capricorn Horoscope October 2022

Capricorn horoscope, owl

October could turn out to be the pivotal month of the year. There’s so much big astrology taking place, some of it echoing what’s coming in 2023. Here’s what’s most significant for you to take note of:

Mercury Turns Direct

There are four planets switching direction this month and the first one is Mercury, the planet of communication. Mercury’s been retrograde since September 10th and it’s been an unusually chaotic Mercury retrograde phase.

Mercury turns direct on the 2nd in your fellow earth sign Virgo. Virgo rules travel and study in your horoscope, the bigger picture. It’s where you find meaning and purpose.

Sometimes, news or information comes to light once Mercury is back up to speed. Or, anything that’s been delayed finally gets moving.

The 7th/8th are powerful dates when Mercury in Virgo teams up with power planet Pluto in your star sign Capricorn. This happens on the 7th and the following day, the 8th, Pluto turns direct in Capricorn. When a major planet like Pluto switches direction, this often brings matters to a head and things feel intense.

You may be determined to book a holiday or course. Or, perhaps you have a crisis of faith and you’re ready to sign up to a new religion or tread your spiritual path.

There’s laser focus when Pluto switches direction. It can mean that you step into your power and say yes to your birthright. Alternatively, it may be through loss or a chapter coming to an end that you realise life is short and you’re ready to stake your claim.

It’s important to know that Pluto is starting its journey out of Capricorn where it’s been since 2008. In March 2023, Pluto will leave Capricorn for the first time. If you’ve been pulled into the underworld during Pluto’s reign, hopefully you’ve emerged stronger for the experience.

Full Moon Aries

On the 11th, Mercury’s on the move again and returns to Libra where it turned retrograde on September 10th. This is significant for you as Libra is your career and vocation sector. Libra’s the star sign at the peak of your horoscope and there’s a flurry of activity here until the end of the month.

The Full Moon may be the turning point, the culmination of events, a completion. It takes place on the 9th. This Full Moon cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac and the foundations of your horoscope.

You may feel pulled in different directions during the Full Moon phase. Alternatively, you may recognise where you need to say yes to a new role, position or job to support your family.

Big planet Jupiter is in Aries and your home and family sector during the Full Moon. This can indicate living somewhere different or expanding your family in some way. Whatever issue is foreground for you, make an intuitive decision on your next steps during the Full Moon phase.

Also, it’s a good idea to get on the right side of people of influence. Throughout October, the planet of relating Venus sits next to the Sun in Libra. They perfect their conjunction on the 22nd before they change star signs and they’re powerful during the mid-month phase.

The air signs – Gemini, Libra, Aquarius – dominate from the 12th to the 23rd. This is a recognition that you can get more done and go further in your life when you make the right networks & connections. Use Libra season to schmooze and charm other people and know that people power counts for a lot.

The key dates for you are the 12th, 14th & 23rd when the inner planets in Libra align with your ruling planet Saturn in Aquarius. You may be called upon to be an authority or to step into a leadership role. Alternatively, you may be the one supporting other people to step up, whether you’re doing so financially or emotionally.

The 23rd could be significant as this is the date when your planet Saturn turns direct in Aquarius and your personal money sector. Sometimes, this means finances get the go-ahead. Other times, it means you have to work harder to make your way financially.

Either way, Saturn is preparing to complete its journey through Aquarius and will leave your money sector in March 2023. Saturn’s been in Aquarius since 2020 so think of the next few months as a time to wrap things up, complete a deadline or finalise a money-making project.

Solar Eclipse Scorpio

On the 23rd, the Sun & Venus change star sign side-by-side as they enter the deep water sign Scorpio. Scorpio rules your friendships & group activities. This indicates that love and friendship are linked. Also, that friendships matter a great deal.

Two days later and there’s a powerful Solar Eclipse in Scorpio on the 25th. This is part of the eclipse cycle that began in November 2021 and completes in October 2023. A Solar Eclipse is a New Moon with oomph. Yet, sometimes there has to be an ending before a new beginning emerges.

This could be a time when you join a group or leave a group. Or, perhaps a key friendship takes a definitive turn. A few days later, expansive Jupiter returns to water sign Pisces where it remains for a short while until December 20th.

Pisces is your communication sector and linked to your community, your siblings & neighbours. People power is dominant so find your tribe and creative meaningful alliances in your life. This isn’t about small talk, it’s about connecting on an emotional level.

You could meet someone influential in the latter part of October. Alternatively, you might be the one playing a key role in other people’s lives.

Mars Retrograde

Finally this month, action planet Mars turns retrograde on the 30th. Mars is currently in Gemini and your work and health sector. It’s about your routine and lifestyle. When Mars switches direction, it can be the time to take your foot off the accelerator and slow things down. You might have less energy while Mars is in retreat.

What Mars retrograde is good for is reviewing your current situation, either regarding your work or your health. Take some time out to think things through and don’t rush into anything new. Mars remains on go slow until January 12, 2023.

The fact that Mars leaves Gemini the same month that Saturn leaves Aquarius – March 2023 – could mean that these planetary factors are linked. This may be when a contract or job comes to an end which impacts you financially. Or, perhaps you’re involved in learning something new that could benefit you financially next year.

Sagittarius Horoscope October 2022

Sagittarius horoscope, horses

October could turn out to be the pivotal month of the year. There’s so much big astrology taking place, some of it echoing what’s coming in 2023. Here’s what’s most significant for you to take note of:

Mercury Turns Direct

As October begins, the planet of communication Mercury is back up to speed. Mercury turns direct on the 2nd in Virgo and your career and vocation sector after three weeks retrograde. It’s been an unusually chaotic Mercury retrograde phase since September 10th.

If you’ve been waiting to hear about a job, promotion or career-related project since August, Mercury turning direct could be the green light you’ve been waiting for. Often, news or information is revealed as Mercury switches direction.

What happens could boost your finances if things work out well. There’s a powerful Mercury-Pluto trine aspect on the 7th, the day before Pluto turns direct in Capricorn and your personal money sector on the 8th. Play your cards right and you could be signing a contract that secures your finances moving forward.

Even if you have to cut your losses and move on, it’s an ideal point in the month to get serious around work and money.

Full Moon Aries

On the 9th, a powerful Full Moon takes place cutting across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac and highlighting the social sectors of your horoscope. This would be an ideal Full Moon for celebrating or partying. Make the most of the passionate Full Moon vibes.

Aries rules children, romance and creativity in your horoscope and expansive Jupiter is also here during the Full Moon phase. This is important for you as Jupiter is your ruling planet.

Plus on the 12th, there’s a Mercury-Jupiter opposition cutting across the Libra/Aries axis of the zodiac. Mercury returns to Libra on the 11th, where it turned retrograde on September 10th.

This may be a significant time for a friendship in your life. Or, your involvement with a group, club or society. If you’ve been over-giving in some shape or form, the light of the Full Moon on the 9th could bring clarity.

Yet, one way or another, you do need your alliances this month. This is because the air signs dominate – Gemini, Libra, Aquarius – especially during the mid-month phase.

You’re wise to bring people together, to work at collaboration, affiliation, networks & connections. From the 12th to the 23rd, there’s a flow in these areas of your life. This may be about a community project. Or, an old-style school reunion.

Be aware, however, that Saturn is a key player in Aquarius and your community sector. On the 23rd, Saturn turns direct and will start its final transit through this part of your horoscope. In March 2023, Saturn moves on after being in your communication & community sector for the last three years.

If you’re considering stepping back from a leadership role, the astrology may give you a clue as to the ideal timing. Events this month could be the tipping point that make you realise where change is required.

Also this month, love and friendship are linked as the planet of relating Venus is in Libra until the 23rd and never far away from the Sun. The Full Moon in Aries could be a stand-out date for romance as could the 22nd when the Sun & Venus align.

Solar Eclipse Scorpio

One day later and the Sun & Venus change star sign and move into the deep introspective water sign Scorpio on th 23rd. This is the most hidden sector of your horoscope and it’s often a time of preparation as you get ready for your birthday season which begins on November 22nd.

Sometimes, you choose to go on retreat when you have planets in Scorpio. Or, you’re working on a project or reading more and engaged with activities that require quiet & solitude.

On the 25th, there’s a powerful Solar Eclipse in Scorpio. This is part of the eclipse cycle which began in November 2021 and completes in October 2023. A Solar Eclipse is a New Moon with oomph. Yet, during an eclipse what’s hidden can come to light and a new beginning can only take place after an ending.

You may be pulled back into the past during the latter part of October. This coincides with your ruling planet Jupiter returning to Pisces, the star sign at the base of your horoscope, on the 28th. Jupiter will only be here for a short while until December 20th.

As Pisces rules your home and family, your past and legacy, there may be more than one reason why you’re delving deep into issues that have their roots in the past. Alternatively, your living or family situation could change and may expand once again.

Mars Retrograde

Finally this month, action planet Mars turns retrograde in Gemini and your opposite star sign on the 30th. Mars has been in this sector of your horoscope since August 20th and will remain here until March 2023.

You may have found yourself in a competitive situation over the last couple of months, whether this is linked to sport, games, work or another area of your life.

When Mars switches direction, it’s time to take your foot off the accelerator and slow things down. You may lose someone’s support once Mars turns retrograde. Or, perhaps you recognise that you’re not going to win one specific battle and it’s time to conserve your energy.

Mars remains retrograde until January 12, 2023. This is ideally a time for planning and reworking your strategy before you take up arms or get back on your horse early next year.

It may not be a fight that’s on your hands. It could be a key relationship, either personal or professional, that’s keeping you on your toes. It might be a passionate encounter and, for whatever reason, you realise you’re wise to take the pace slow, for a while at least. Also, a note of caution to be careful what you say or write during this period as words could be used against you.

Scorpio Horoscope October 2022

Scorpio horoscope, pelican

October could turn out to be the pivotal month of the year. There’s so much big astrology taking place, some of it echoing what’s coming in 2023. Here’s what’s most significant for you to take note of:

Mercury Turns Direct

As the month begins, communication planet Mercury turns direct on the 2nd. This is a positive start to the month as it’s been an unusually chaotic Mercury retrograde phase since September 10th.

You may find that news or information comes to light that’s been hidden. Mercury turns direct in Virgo and your friendship and group sector. Therefore, it’s a positive time to get things moving again in these key areas.

The 7th/8th could be intriguing too. This is because Mercury in Virgo teams up with your modern ruler Pluto in Capricorn. And, this is happening when Pluto turns direct in your communication sector on the 8th.

This combination is great for diving in deep. You may have some key insights about a friend or group, club or society in which you’re involved. A conversation could lead you down a path that’s revealing or powerful.

Pluto is going to leave Capricorn in March 2023 for the first time since 2008. There’s a major shift taking place and you may sense that one chapter in your life is coming to an end. At its best, Pluto in Capricorn makes you an orator, a person of influence.

Consider where and how you pass on your wisdom, knowledge or experience and what may need to shift or alter in the future. This might be linked to what’s happening with your traditional ruler Mars – see below.

Full Moon Aries

On the 9th, a Full Moon takes place cutting across the Aries/Libra axis of the horoscope. When planets are in Libra, you often want more time to yourself. The Sun’s here up until the 23rd and events on or around this Full Moon could be pivotal.

You may have a major revelation during the Full Moon as this is about inner work & understanding. This may be linked to a key relationship in your life as the planet of relating Venus sits next to the Sun during the Full Moon. Perhaps, there’s a celebration for someone you love. Or, you may recognise who’s important to you during this Full Moon.

The Sun & Venus sit side-by-side throughout October and the exact date of their conjunction is the 22nd. You could fall in love with a spiritual path. Or, be introduced to a guru or teacher who helps you dive deeper into an interest of study. Be open to miracles when the Sun & Venus are aligned.

If you work in a charity or volunteer, this is about being of service to others. This may include prayer & ritual too, tapping into a deeper stream of wisdom that can help heal and soothe yourself & others.

Solar Eclipse Scorpio

If you are spending some of this month on retreat or involved in a period of study or reading, this may change on or around the 23rd. There’s a significant shift on this date as both the Sun & Venus enter your star sign Scorpio. It’s the beginning of your birthday month.

Plus, two days later, there’s a powerful Solar Eclipse in Scorpio on the 25th. If your birthday falls on or around this date, it’s a potent symbol of rebirth & renewal.

This is part of the eclipse cycle that began in November 2021 and completes in October 2023. A Solar Eclipse is a New Moon with an oomph. Yet, sometimes, there has to be an ending before a new beginning.

If you’re a typical Scorpio, you may understand this cycle of endings and beginnings as it’s integral to your star sign archetype. One of your zodiac symbols is the phoenix who rises from the ashes. In other words, to start over, you may recognise that sometimes you need to close a door on the past and move on.

This Solar Eclipse could be magical and incredible for you, especially if your birthday falls close to the eclipse date. It’s relatively early at the start of your star sign and this is the first and only Solar Eclipse in Scorpio in the current cycle. This could coincide with a dynamic new beginning linked to your personal aims and goals or your image and profile.

Mars Retrograde

Since August 20th, your traditional ruler Mars has been in Gemini, one of the financial sectors of your horoscope. This is the sector of the horoscope connected to your star sign Scorpio. It’s not only about money, also psychoanalysis, taboo issues, deep learning & insight.

You may sense that you’re on a mission to turn your life around in October and this could be linked to your money, also your values. Yet, once Mars turns retrograde on the 30th, it’s time to take your foot off the accelerator and slow things down.

Mars remains retrograde, i.e. on go slow until January 12, 2023 and this can be a tricky phase for you. You may not be the one in control and you could feel frustrated if things don’t work out.

The best way to use the Mars retrograde phase is to think of this as the planning stage. Turn inwards, rework your strategy, read & learn more.

Keep some of your thoughts to yourself as Mars retrograde in Gemini is the time to be careful with words and know that what you write or say could be used against you. Keep things secret until you have a better idea of how your ideas are going to work out.

The mid-month period could reveal more in this respect when there’s a lovely flow between the air signs Gemini, Libra & Aquarius. This may be about your past and where you come from, your role within the generations of your family. Or perhaps, esoteric or hidden knowledge.

Allow yourself to explore what arises this month. Be wary of being fooled or seduced on or around the 12th. This may be linked to your relationship with a child or lover.

Yet, firm some strong alliances that will help you create a solid future for yourself and the ones you love. If you’re in a relationship or married, you may feel particularly close to your other half, especially once the Sun & Venus enter Scorpio on the 23rd.

It may help to note that Saturn turns direct this month on the 23rd and will begin to complete its journey through Aquarius and your home and family sector. Saturn entered Aquarius in 2020 and come March 2023, Saturn will move on in the same month that Mars leaves Gemini.

The two planetary factors, therefore, may be linked. This could be connected to a property move, either settling down or giving up a property. Or, perhaps it’s your interest in your family tree that takes you on a powerful journey over these six months.

If you’re up against any kind of block or obstacle in your life, this is likely to start shifting early next year.
