A very tight stellium of the Sun, Moon and Venus is featured on the New Moon Solar Eclipse at 02° 40’ Scorpio on 25 October 2022, 03:49 AM PDT. Talk about magnetism! Fixed Scorpio is naturally magnetic but with Venus in Scorpio tightly conjunct the luminaries, this quality is far more powerful. It will be interesting to observe how this one plays out in our lives. This is the perfect time to learn to love the darkness and the deep mysteries within because Scorpio as healer and guide is strong on this New Moon.
On the practical side, this New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio is an excellent time to take a long look at debt and start the process of paying that down. The first step is to say “NO” to taking on more. Most of us end up borrowing money at some point in our lives when making a major purchase of some type or borrowing to pay for our education. With credit cards it is easy to add to that debt, especially if we choose to only pay the minimum on our cards. Scorpio is quite good at putting together a solid plan to systematically pay down debt. Venus in Scorpio conjoining the Sun and Moon has the benefit of softening Scorpio’s usual harsh but effective methods of problem solving.
The only close aspect to the Scorpio stellium is an inconjunct to Jupiter in Aries. It does help having Mars ruling both Aries and Scorpio but not that much. Scorpio has trust issues and will often fail to take advantage of an excellent opportunity because of that lack of trust. Jupiter’s excess of enthusiasm grates on Scorpio’s sensibilities but we may want to ignore that and focus on what the offer is all about. Besides, Jupiter will be returning to Pisces on October 27 and Scorpio is much more receptive to Jupiter in Pisces. Think about it!
The planets in air signs, Mercury in Libra, Mars in Gemini and Saturn in Aquarius, support each other with Mercury being the point of connection. However Mercury in Libra is making a waxing square to Pluto in Capricorn (exact October 27) and Mars in Gemini is inconjunct Pluto in Capricorn which can throw a wrench in the works of any plans we’re attempting to put together. No matter how clear and logical we think our arguments are, we may not be able to sell them to the powers that be. Mars in Gemini is not up to snuff thanks to the ongoing square to Neptune in Pisces as well as slowing to station retrograde on October 30. We might have more success once Mercury joins the Sun in Scorpio on October 29. Capricorn generally finds Mercury in Scorpio’s reasons more compelling than Libra’s.
The Saturn in Aquarius-Uranus in Taurus square is edging apart but still close enough to interfere with the flow. Saturn offers support to Mercury in Libra this lunation but on the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus November 8, Uranus conjoins the Moon and Saturn squares the lunar axis. That appears to be the last big impact of this square. Whew.
The Sun may have moved into Scorpio two days before the New Moon but it will feel like Scorpio season really starts on the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio. The concentration of Scorpio energy is very strong on this New Moon Solar Eclipse and we’ll feel it where it falls in our natal charts. If nothing else, we’ll probably get a refresher course in what Scorpio is all about for each of us as individuals. It’s time to put our emotional intelligence to work as well as our intuition. Water and earth are the dominate influences on this lunation and will remain in charge until after the middle of November. We would do well to acknowledge we all have some darkness within us and observe it with kindness. No need to feed our inner monster either. As always make a point of treating others with kindness and respect. It wouldn’t hurt to practice patience either. Peace and love to all.
