The Sun quietly enters Libra on September 22, joining Jupiter and subtly adding to our ability to see both sides of an issue. Earth and water signs dominate the Vernal Equinox chart and that won’t change right away. Mercury will enter Libra on September 29 and that will help with objective thinking but we still need to keep an eye on the practical side of things.
Venus, Libra’s ruler, entered Virgo earlier this week and the closest aspect she makes in the Equinox chart is a sextile to the brooding Scorpio Moon. Venus won’t reach Libra until October 14, about a week before the Sun moves into watery Scorpio. For now having Venus in Virgo keeps Libra more grounded than usual and less interested in attending as many social events unless they are for worthy causes.
The overall tone from the Equinox to the Solstice usually reflects the Equinox chart. This is one of those times when actions will speak louder than words, especially those taken to make life better for those in need. The waning Mercury-Mars conjunction in Virgo is trine Pluto in Capricorn which speaks of going to the heart of any issue in a clear, pragmatic manner. There is a cardinal T-Square with Jupiter in Libra opposing Uranus in Aries and both square Ceres in Cancer. That looks a whole lot like taking care to keep mama happy, especially when it comes to Mother Nature. If we keep that in mind we may finally make some important breakthroughs in regards to improving life on this beautiful planet without damaging her further.
