Aries Horoscope May 2022

eclipse, Aries horoscopes

Jupiter enters Aries

May could turn to be a month to remember. The big news is Jupiter, the planet of luck, opportunity and good fortune, on the move. Jupiter enters your star sign Aries on the 11th where it remains for most of the time until May 2023.

Jupiter takes approximately twelve years to circuit the zodiac so this big event doesn’t happen every year. In fact, you’ve had to wait quite some time to enjoy Jupiter’s bounty in your star sign.

Jupiter is the biggest planet in the universe and represents all that’s expansive in life. This is the planet of freedom, allowing you to let go of ties that bind and anything or anyone who holds you back in life.

When Jupiter’s in full flow, you want to see the world and save the world. Jupiter rules travel, education, spirituality, philosophy and philanthropic activities. Choose your pick. What’s not advised when Jupiter is strong in your chart is to play small or stay close to home. Jupiter rewards bold behaviour and loves the free-spirit, the explorer, the entrepreneur, the lover of life.

Notice what takes place on or around the 24th/25th when there’s a Moon/Jupiter conjunction in Aries and your ruling planet Mars joins Jupiter in Aries. Also, the 29th when there’s a stunning Mars/Jupiter conjunction, a symbol of courage and enthusiasm, freedom and bravery.

These are super-powerful planetary events. As Jupiter expands what it touches, be yourself and act with integrity. Jupiter rules the truth and humanity so be true to your beliefs, live life to the full and make the most of this special time.

Mercury Retrograde

It’s important to note, however, that communication planet Mercury turns retrograde on the 10th and remains on go slow until June 3rd. Therefore, you may find that things don’t fall into your lap overnight and you need to be more patient than usual.

Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini and your communication sector. Therefore, this could be a double whammy of communication chaos for you.

Therefore, you’re wise to get important correspondence backed up and double-check forms and applications before Mercury swings into reverse mode on the 10th. A key feature of Mercury retrograde is not to take anything for granted. Check and re-check that things are progressing, even if it’s slow progress. Double-check dates, meetings and interviews.

Mercury retrograde is a classic period to kick back and do less not more. Take yourself out of your everyday environment, shift your perspective and take a fresh look at life. Know your allies and get the right people on your side. Catch up with old school friends and take a walk down memory lane.

In addition, talk things through and express your feelings, even if answers don’t come easily. When Mercury’s on go slow, there can be misunderstandings or mis-truths. Don’t believe everything you hear and be open-minded.

One the best ways to use the Mercury retrograde phase is to take a holiday or pilgrimage. You may find that you can’t get to the place you want this month. Yet, you discover that where you end up is where you were meant to be all along.

Lunar Eclipse

Also this month, there’s a Full Moon or Lunar Eclipse which takes place on the 16th cutting across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of the zodiac. This is the sector of your horoscope ruling joint finances and money that’s shared with others or invested/owed.

Things can emerge during an eclipse that have been hidden, which bring about unexpected change. This could flag up money issues or a lack of self-value or self-worth that needs addressing.

This eclipse cycle is the time to re-evaluate money and what it means to you, whether you need to earn more, pay off debt or decide what to do with your money. It’s not easy astrology but it does show where your priorities lie. And, it can help reveal your options. This eclipse cycle lasts from November 2021 to October 2023.

Retrograde Mercury moves back into Taurus and your money sector on the 23rd suggesting that you may need to go over old ground regarding finances. It’s an ideal time to work out your budget and review your expenses and income.

Mars Influence

Your ruling Mars remains in Pisces and the most hidden sector of your horoscope until the 24th when it enters Aries. This isn’t straightforward for you and there may be times this month when you feel lost or confused or unsure in which direction you’re heading.

Think of Pisces’ symbol, the two fishes swimming in opposite directions. Water signs rules the emotions, so you may be grieving, feel more weepy than usual or be in a romantic or wistful mood.

The key planetary aspect that Mars makes this month is a conjunction with Neptune, God of the Sea, on the 18th. Where’s your escape? What do you need to pull back from? Neptune is a romantic and artistic influence. Dive deep into music, art or poetry and find your inner muse.

You may get a sense of the wheel of fortune turning as retrograde Mercury in Gemini connects with Jupiter in Aries on the 20th and retrograde Mercury in Taurus connects with Mars in Pisces on the 24th just before your ruling planet changes star sign.

This would be a wonderful time in the month to turn inwards and listen for insights or synchronicities. Gear yourself up ready to take a leap of faith towards the end of May. The day after the lucky Mars-Jupiter conjunction on the 29th, there’s a New Moon in Gemini on the 30th, a symbol of new beginnings.

Whatever you’re plotting or planning or surrendering to, the end of May is the time to put energy into new ideas and plans in readiness for Mercury’s change of direction in the first days of June.

Easter And The Full Moon

Easter weekend

Full Moon [26 Libra 46]

– April 16, 2022 (19:55 GMT+1)

Ask anyone what they know about the full moon that takes place every 28 days and they may mention the effect the moon has on the tides or the werewolf who howls at the moon. What many people don’t realise is that the date Easter falls in the calendar is determined by the cycle of the moon and specifically the Full Moon.

Easter Sunday is always the first Sunday after the first Full Moon following the Equinox. This year, the Equinox fell on March 20th, two days after a Full Moon on March 18th. The next Full Moon occurs this weekend on April 16th.

Therefore, Easter Sunday is the following Sunday which happens to be one day later, April 17th. This is why Easter’s later than usual this year as there was a Full Moon only two days before the Equinox.

Both the Easter bunny and Easter eggs are ancient symbols of fertility. Traditionally, Easter is a celebration of the return of the light of spring after the dark of winter and the continual cycle of birth and new life – at least in the northern hemisphere.

Libra Full Moon

This weekend’s Full Moon highlights the axis of the zodiac that teaches us about relationships. The Sun in ‘me-first’ Aries and the Moon in ‘you decide’ Libra.

A Full Moon reminds us of life’s polarities by its very nature. The King (Sun) and Queen (Moon) of the heavens look at each other from across the zodiac. You can be pulled in different directions during the Full Moon phase or find a way to bring opposing factors together so they complement each other.

Know that this is an important Full Moon when it comes to learning to compromise (Libra) at the same time as learning when to assert your wants and needs (Aries). It’s all about balance. Find yourself in the other but don’t lose yourself in a relationship.

Notice when projection is in play and how easy it is to slip into a role dictated by another person’s personality or demands. Keep yourself strong and whole, whilst recognising the importance of relationship in your life.

Remember that the Full Moon phase is a time of heightened emotions & a positive time for celebration and ritual.  Events come to completion or culmination during the Full Moon, ready for you to release and let go of what’s no longer needed in your life.

Full Moon Square Pluto

Full Moons can also be a time of drama. During this Full Moon at 26 Libra, both the Sun & Moon will be square to Pluto at 28 Capricorn.

Pluto can flag up themes of loss or withdrawal, sometimes power games. You may have to accept that there are times when there’s nothing you can do to change someone’s mind or alter another person’s behaviour. Pluto is the planet of endings so it could be a definitive time for love, a joint venture or a business partnership. You may be the one who’s ready to let go and move on.

Scorpio Horoscope April 2022

Scorpio horoscope April 2022, big wave

Mars’ Motivation

Your ruling planet Mars is in Aquarius as the month begins. Aquarius is the star sign at the base of your horoscope ruling your home and family, your past and where you come from.

Mars is the planet of action and speed but Mars is being held back, limited or repressed by Saturn in Aquarius on the 5th. There may be a disappointment on or around this date. Alternatively, it may be a sign to dig deep, to be determined and make things happen.

Being a Sun Scorpio, you don’t give up easily when there’s something you want to achieve. Mars and Saturn working together can be a strong symbol for willpower.

Once Mars breaks free of Saturn, then you can start to take the initiative and put energy into your domestic situation or your family relationships. You may be taking care of a parent or someone older and be considering how to organise your time better to suit everyone well.

Routine & Health

This is a good month to put time and thought into your work and routine, your well-being and health. This is because the Sun is in Aries and your work and health sector until the 20th and talk planet Mercury is here until the 11th.

You may have lots of good ideas about your work or time management. You may be keen to start a new health or fitness routine. The New Moon falls in Aries on the 1st, a symbol of new beginnings, so don’t procrastinate or waste time if you want to start something new.

This is where there’s a whoosh of planetary energy so find new and innovative things to do, whatever your current situation. It’s important this month to focus on your physical fitness and do what you can to stay strong. Go about your job, your business with strength and courage.

The Full Moon on the 16th is slightly different as it falls in Libra, the star sign before yours. You may need to take care of yourself or others on or around this date. You might be exhausted or feel overwhelmed with too much going on. Take time out if you can and stop and reassess where you can most successfully channel your time and energy.

Your co-ruler Pluto is square to the Sun & Moon during this Full Moon phase. This is another reason why you may be feeling wiped out or favour time to yourself. Pluto’s in your communication sector but it may be a time when you don’t want to speak up and would rather stay quiet.

Love & Relationships

The major Jupiter-Neptune conjunction on the 12th falls in your fellow water sign Pisces. The Jupiter-Neptune theme is about big dreams and it’s a creative influence for you. Pisces rules the most creative sector of your horoscope, your gifts and talents, the things in life you give birth to, including children.

There may be a big win for a child on or around this date that makes you exceptionally proud. Encourage the ones you love to follow their dreams and do the same yourself. Breathe life into your hopes and wishes as this combination can be miraculous.

Plus, your ruling planet Mars also enters Pisces on the 15th which means that you’re carrying the Jupiter-Neptune wave with you into next month. Do more of what you love, follow your desires, lead a passionate life.

Love planet Venus is leading the way. She enters Pisces on the 5th and at the end of the month on the 27th & 30th, Venus aligns first with romantic Neptune, then with lucky Jupiter. This could bring something special your way, especially if you’re ready to fall in love, produce your masterpiece or adopt a child. It’s your choice.

There’s another reason why relationships could be important to you now. This is because the Sun enters Taurus and your opposite star sign on the 20th. Plus, talk planet Mercury is in Taurus from the 11th to the 29th.

Taurus rules all your one-to-one relationships, both personal and professional. It’s about contracts, alliances and collaboration. Although, it can flag up your competition or expose your enemies.

Therefore, keep your wits about you especially when there’s a second New Moon this month, a Black Moon that’s also a Solar Eclipse. This takes place in Taurus on the 30th and pulls in the planet of change Uranus. The 18th could be a significant date too.

Events could happen swiftly as Uranus tends to turn any situation on its head and eclipses are shadowy bringing what’s hidden to light. Yet, the ruler of the Taurus eclipse is lovely Venus cosying up to Jupiter on the same day.

Therefore, this combination has the potential to bring exciting developments for love, perhaps reconnecting you with a lover out of the blue. As Uranus rules technology it could be an online connection.

Certainly, it feels as if the wheel of fortune may turn in your direction towards the month’s end and hopefully lead you down a positive path. Notice who comes into your life on or around the eclipse date. They could be around for some time to come.

Jupiter-Neptune themes

The once-in-a-lifetime Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces is exact on April 12th. We’ve been surfing its waves since February and there’s a way to go yet. It peaks this month, continues into May & there may be a Jupiter-Neptune revival in November/December.

Jupiter-Neptune themes conjure up big dreams, a cultural renaissance, a spiritual awakening, miracles, revelation, awe & wonder. In Pisces, it’s a flood of emotion, a wave of imagination, a rush of compassion & interconnectedness. It’s also wise to avoid fake news, be wary of scams, choose your faith carefully & lose yourself in a good way.

The Jupiter-Neptune conjunction falls in your 5th house ruling children, creativity, entertainment, love affairs and fun. This would be an ideal time to give birth, get pregnant, adopt, inspire children, write your masterpiece, explore your creative side, have an affair or become a socialite. This combination links the spiritual realm with your creative source. Dive deep into your inspiration, become a muse to others.

A New Moon Of Hope & Miracles

New Moon, heart

New Moon [12 Pisces 07]

March 2, 2022 (17:35 GMT)

New Moon Wishes

The New Moon in Pisces is one of my favourite New Moons of the year. A New Moon promises new beginnings and Pisces is the star sign which represents romance, imagination, compassion & redemption. Pisces is where you lose yourself in life as you move away from the ego.

I always make a wish when I first catch sight of the crescent Moon in the night sky. You usually glimpse it a day or two after the exact date/time of the New Moon. New Moon wishes can come true. In Pisces, this brings a cosmic kiss, a little bit of extra magic.

Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction

Plus, this New Moon is extra special because the Sun & Moon sit next to Jupiter & Neptune, two of the biggest planets, also in Pisces – God of the sky and God of the sea.

On March 5th, there’s a Sun-Jupiter conjunction at 14 Pisces, one of the best planetary aspects of the year. Use this planetary energy to expand your world, say yes to life, reach out to others, seek new opportunities. It’s an ideal time in life to play big & take a leap of faith.

Then, on March 13th, there’s a sentimental and sensitive Sun-Neptune conjunction at 22 Pisces. Therefore, the two weeks following the New Moon are giving you a preview for the epic Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces that takes place next month on April 12th.

Hope & Miracles

We all need hope right now & miracles would be a blessing too. This is one aspect of the Jupiter-Neptune duo in Pisces. Together, they are boundless and anything feels possible. It’s a strong symbol for prayer, faith & universal love.

Those of you who know your astrology also know that the Venus-Mars-Pluto triple conjunction in Capricorn on March 3rd isn’t easy by any means. The Goddess of love & God of War encounter Pluto’s power. It’s a strong symbol for what’s happening in Ukraine and the response around the world.

Therefore, this seems like an important time to turn at least some of your attention to where there is hope & pray for miracles.

I saw it as a good sign that a tiny miracle came my family’s way during this big week of astrology. On March 1st, my second grand-niece was born. She has the Sun-Jupiter conjunction in Pisces in her birth chart.

Then, I checked back to previous Sun-Jupiter articles on my website. Only to be reminded that my first grand-niece was born on the Sun-Jupiter conjunction in Scorpio in 2017. A lovely coincidence and a truly cosmic blessing.

Sun-Jupiter Blessings

If it’s your birthday this week, celebrate by doing something special in honour of the Sun/Jupiter conjunction in Pisces on March 5th. If it’s not your birthday, do something special anyway, because you can. Offer help & hope to others.

It’s one of the luckiest planetary combinations when the Sun and Jupiter unite, symbolising visionary plans, big goals, a search for meaning and a connection with the divine.

Look out for new opportunities coming your way and notice when and where you can merge with others so we hold one another strong. Jupiter’s the global planet, a reminder that we’re one world.

The Sun-Jupiter link is about making the best out of any situation, looking on the bright side and spreading optimism. Whenever and wherever possible this week, sprinkle a little magic & faith and be open to hope, prayer & miracles.

Here’s a quick guide to the areas of your life that are highlighted during the New Moon conjunct Jupiter & Neptune. Read both your Sun & Ascendant sign:

  • Pisces – personal goals & personal health
  • Aries – retreat, secrets & meditation
  • Taurus – friends, groups & society
  • Gemini – career & vocation
  • Cancer – travel & study, meaning & purpose
  • Leo – joint finances & sexuality, hidden themes
  • Virgo – love & connections, contracts
  • Libra – work & health
  • Scorpio – birth – children, romance, creative projects
  • Sagittarius – home & family, the past
  • Capricorn – community, ideas & communication
  • Aquarius – money, values & self-worth

Wishing You New Moon Blessings

A Passionate Full Moon Leo

Full Moon

FULL MOON [28 Leo 00]

London: February 16, 2022 – (16:56 GMT)
New York: February 16, 2022 – (11:56 GMT-5)
Sydney: February 17, 2022 – (03:56 GMT+11)

Full Moons are traditionally a time of celebration and this week’s Full Moon Leo feels like a good time to seek enjoyment & pleasure and do more of what you love. There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, this Full Moon falls in fire sign Leo and the fire signs are renowned for play, fun and spontaneity.

The Moon is the only planetary body dipping in and out of the fire signs throughout February – Aries, Leo & Sagittarius. The fire signs bring motivation & pleasure your way.

The Full Moon in Leo is a reminder to seek joy and focus on the positives & benefits in life. It’s an ideal time to take centre stage and give yourself a confidence boost.

Venus conjunct Mars

There’s another reason why this Full Moon feels special and that’s because on the same day, there’s a Venus-Mars conjunction. The lovers of the heavens unite twice this year, once on February 16th & again on March 6th.

The Venus/Mars conjunction marks the union of the two planets that represent your love nature [Venus] and your sex drive [Mars]. Therefore, love and sex might be on your mind more than usual this week – it is Valentines Day week after all.

For all you lovers out there, this feels powerful and important so don’t let this romantic week pass by unannounced or unnoticed. Keep love in the dark and it has nowhere to shine.

Of course, it’s not just about love & sex but Venus & Mars were lovers in mythology. This conjunction brings a unity of the feminine & masculine, yin & yang energies working in unison.

This is a strong combination for business alliances and joint ventures too, as the conjunction takes place at 16 degrees of the earth sign Capricorn.

A Passionate Full Moon

Leo is the star sign where the Sun is as it’s best, big-hearted and proud. This is a giving combination so if you want to make an impression, show your love and be generous. It’s a wonderful day for a proposal, making a commitment and wearing your heart on your sleeve.

If you’re single and whether you’re looking for love or not, make the most of this fun-loving Full Moon in the party sign of Leo and celebrate life and the love that’s around you. Love comes in many guises; seek out the places and people where your passion and heart lie and there you’ll find love.

Make time to honour the light of the Moon during its fullness, an ideal point in the month to trust your intuition and make clear decisions.

Here’s where this week’s Full Moon is lighting up your life. Read both your Sun & Ascendant signs:

  • Leo – image, self-identity, personal goals: relationships, contracts, other people
  • Virgo – retreat, secrets, inner work: work, service, health
  • Libra – friends, groups, society: children, creativity, romance
  • Scorpio – work, status, responsibility: home, family
  • Sagittarius – travel, study, exploration: communication, neighbours, siblings
  • Capricorn – other peoples’ money, money owed: personal finances, possessions
  • Aquarius – relationships, contracts, other people: image, self-identity, personal goals
  •  Pisces – work, service, health: retreat, secrets, inner work
  •  Aries – children, creativity, romance: friends, groups, society
  • Taurus – home, family: work, status, responsibility
  • Gemini – communication, neighbours, siblings, local neighbourhood: travel, study, exploration
  • Cancer – personal finances, possessions: other peoples’ money, money owed

Remember that the Full Moon is an opposition so it’s about balancing the different areas of your life, how you allow them to complement each other and work together in unison, rather than create division or enmity.
