The waning gibbous Moon ventures on through Sagittarius, finding her way through the fog as she contacts Mercury and Neptune in Pisces this morning.

Once she clears the mists, the Moon explores on her own, making her way toward jolly Jupiter. They will meet up late this evening, promising over-the-top fun and adventure (or perhaps overblown opinionating!) for the latter half of the day.

Did you see the Moon and Jupiter close together this morning in the southern sky? Such a glorious sight!

The Moon goes void on her conjunction with Jupiter, drifting unaspected until she enters Capricorn at 10:07 tomorrow morning EDT.

Mercury is parked in the lap of Neptune for several days as he prepares to move forward on Thursday. Expect the confusion and lack of clarity to continue through the first week of April. After April 9th, we will be thinking and speaking much more coherently.

We wake to a far lighter mood today as the Moon gallops into expansive Sagittarius and trines the early spring Sun in Aries.

That’s it for planetary action, other than the on-going melding of Mercury and Neptune.

Enjoy your day. Get out for a little adventure, even if it’s only lunch in a new restaurant or conversation with someone you’ve never met. Let your mind range far and wide. Take advantage of the creative Neptunian energy combined with the optimism of Sagittarius.

The waning Moon floats on through emotional Scorpio all day, riding a dreamy swell from Mercury and Neptune joined together in the watery realm of Pisces. I suspect you had some deep and mysterious dreams last night?

Saturn tries to impose some structure this morning, encouraging the drifty Moon to get something done. Around mid-day, you can transform some of this profound emotion into positive change as Pluto bolsters the Moon.

By late afternoon, Mars goads the Moon into action, or perhaps righteous anger, depending upon your situation. Relationship issues could surface this evening as the Moon and Venus can’t see eye to eye.

The Moon goes void at 10:24 PM and will enter Sagittarius at 2:06 AM EDT, lifting tomorrow’s mood considerably.

Keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde and still hanging out with Neptune for a few more days, fogging your brain, messing with schedules, and confusing communications. Mercury will turn direct on Thursday and will join with Neptune for the third and final time on April 2nd. By the end of the week, the Neptunian fog will clear as Mercury picks up speed.

The waning gibbous Moon slogs through swampy Scorpio today, dredging up emotions and secrets from the muck. She keeps to herself, talking to no one, deep into whatever comes up from the bottom.

The planets too are quiet, except for Mercury. Our planet of thoughts and communication is swimming back through Pisces over territory he covered before he turned retrograde, on his way to revisit Neptune. Mercury last met up with Neptune on February 19th at the Virgo Full Moon. You may find yourself revisiting issues that were revealed then.

Today is best spent in silent contemplation. “Words are wind,” say characters in Game of Thrones. I would say words and thoughts are water now, emerging from and returning to the boundless ocean that is Pisces. Let your mind flow. Don’t try to hold on to thoughts or ideas. Try stream of consciousness writing or painting with watercolors. Or just take a nice hot bath with essential oils and allow yourself to drift.

The waning gibbous Moon makes her way through the last third of Libra, facing challenges first from Saturn and then from Pluto, making a hash of your morning. Saturn brings delays or blockages. Pluto offers power plays from petty tyrants.

Jupiter steps in before mid-day to salvage the situation, lifting the mood considerably. At 2:10 PM EDT the Moon goes void on a lovely trine with beautiful Venus, setting the stage for a sweet afternoon. Efforts often come to naught during a void moon, so you might want to bag work early. Take in a show at a local art gallery or spend a romantic interlude with a partner.

The Moon drifts unaspected until she enters Scorpio at 10:16 PM EDT and immediately opposes Uranus, offering penetrating insight or sudden disruption.

Luna remains in watery Scorpio for the entire weekend even as Mercury is backing up for his second meetup with nebulous Neptune, exact on Sunday. Your thoughts and conversations this weekend will probably be vast and boundless, undefined and foggy, tinged with deep emotion. You might desire serious and revealing dialogue but beware. The potential for misunderstanding or deception is enormous. Better to pour yourself some wine and lose yourself in epic fantasy films. Just don’t overdo the alcohol.

The Moon, still round but beginning to wane, drifts quietly on through Libra, interacting with no planets, giving us a chance to breathe and to absorb whatever revelations have occurred in the bright spring moonlight.

Venus, the ruler of Libra, is engaged in a lively sextile with Jupiter who is feeling particularly jovial in Sagittarius. Thus I would expect a feel-good day today. Invite a friend or colleague to lunch, put away the devices, and have a real conversation about meaningful topics.

If you’re still up around midnight tonight, you may find your mood heading downhill as the genteel Moon enters into a difficult discussion with Saturn. Get to bed early and let them go at it while you sleep.

Spring gets off to a dynamic start today!

The day begins with the almost-full Moon making her way through the last decan of earthy and practical Virgo, forming a fast-moving Grand Trine with Saturn and Pluto in ambitious Capricorn, and with Mars in steadfast Taurus. The Moon in Virgo answers to Mercury, who is currently retrograde in watery Pisces but receiving a steadying boost from stable Saturn.

One could accomplish a great deal of productive and detailed work this morning. Tie up any loose ends before 11:22 AM EDT when the Moon goes void on a square to over-the-top Jupiter.

This well-supported Moon is conjunct my own Virgo Moon, prompting me to the practical action of reviving my writing practice. Finally!

The Sun enters Aries at 5:58 PM EDT, marking the official beginning of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the start of the zodiacal year.

The waxing Moon serenely drifts until she enters Libra at 9:28 PM EDT and reaches exact opposition to the Aries Sun at 9:43 PM EDT, illuminating the third and final Super Moon of 2019.

This Moon is also the first of two Libra Full Moons this month, with the next one happening at the very end of Libra on April 19th. These bookend Moons here at the Spring Equinox place a strong emphasis on the Aries/Libra axis and the issue of balance in our relationships.

Venus, our planet of love and relationship, is the ruler of Libra. Mars, the planet of me-first and divisiveness, is the ruler of Aries. These two seeming opposites are moving into a square with one another, a challenging aspect which can test some partnerships.

Venus is currently in Aquarius and thus feeling a bit aloof and independent. She’s also getting a great affirmation from Jupiter in freedom-loving Sagittarius. Mars is moving through Venus’ other home-sign of Taurus and thus is answering to her. He is feeling more grounded than usual and less inclined toward breaking off relations.

Use the light of this Libra Full Moon to peer into the workings of your relationships. Do you have enough freedom and autonomy? Do you feel grounded and stable in your partnerships? How do you achieve a balance of your own needs against the needs of others? Move forward into the new cycle of the zodiac with the awareness gained from the illumination of balance.
