On
June 25, 2012 Saturn, the planet of constriction and responsibility, which has
been retrograde since February 7 of this year, will finally go direct in the
relationship oriented sign of Libra as he makes his way towards sexy, intense
Scorpio (October 5, the same day that Mercury the planet of thought and
communication enters the same sign). Retrogrades are an optical illusion that
makes it appear that the planet is actually moving backwards from our vantage point
here on earth; though it only looks that way, the energy it emits is quite
real. During these times we often have trouble relying on the usual energy of
the planet involved, and things can go awry; we often have to re-live,
re-consider, re-experience, etc. things that we have not worked out during
direct movement. In Libra, the natural 7th house of the zodiac,
Saturn, which is a strict teacher, will show the both the stability (one of its
more positive characteristics) and the liabilities and constriction (negative
Saturn traits) of being involved with others in romance and business. This
takes place just one day after the first exact square (7 in all) between Uranus
in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn which is bound to bring about revolutions on
both political and social structures. Also the sky jewel Venus, Libra’s ruling
planet, will turn direct on the 27th in double-minded Gemini.  As if all that is not enough, Mars will leave
his extended stay in Virgo and end up in Libra as well! This is a lot of energy
and the result could be breakups and fallings out in relationships and
partnerships.
The tension from the Uranus (independence)/
Pluto (transformation) square can set off sparks that lead to people leaving
the comfort of being in a couple or an established partner, and Saturn turning
direct in Libra is kind of like letting a pent up dog off its leash. Even if
there are no break ups, there will definitely be some transformations and
changing of rules and established roles. With Mars, the war planet also entering
Libra so soon things can move very fast and get very heated. If you have
friends, family members, or business associates, that are in the midst of
parting ways or having disagreements at this time, stay out of it! Libra is the
sign of the peacemaker and diplomat, but this is no time to get involved. Try
to stay as neutral as possible because, once some of the dust has settled and
the old energy is transformed and some people manage to reconcile, they could
end up resenting anyone that took sides during the storm. On positive note,
relationships that have patiently endured throughout all of this astrological
energy will be more solid than ever and couples may appreciate each other even
more than ever.  All we can do for loved
ones is be supportive, and if we have issues in our own lives we need to think
carefully before making any rash decisions.
