This is the polarity of values and profundity. Sometimes called the “money” polarity, they relate to the second house (Taurus), which is income and personal values, and the eighth (Scorpio) which is outgo of money and other peoples’ values, but also funds held jointly with others…like insurance, taxes, inheritances, partner’s income, and debt. A good way to remember it is the eighth is about money in which others have an interest. Any planets in those houses will behave somewhat as though they are in the signs related to them. It is also the sexual polarity. Taurus, an earth sign, represents fertility—mother earth. It comes in the spring when the ground is ready for sowing seed and growing crops. Scorpio moves beyond that and must have “meaning” in a relationship. It is looking for total union with another wherein the couple …
Monday morning’s lunar eclipse in Sagittarius has a lot of people feeling unnerved. This energy is particularly jarring (see details), and they’re afraid they’re going to get broadsided somehow.

We get off this Thursday morning with a sweet little aspect. At 8:44AM EDT the planet Mercury in Gemini trines the Moon in Libra. If you need to talk someone into anything or persuade someone to do something, this aspect is where you might reach a decision. This could go for legal cases and trials, where jury or judgements will make progress after long deliberation. A great time to compromise. Mercury is all about communication and the Moon in Libra is about balancing. The beauty and logic of a finely tuned musical instrument comes to mind. Creatively, very good time for writers and musicians. Lots of activity, communications, and decision reaching.
Today the Libra Moon makes two trines to both Venus and Saturn. So I am going to talk about the energy of these aspects.
AT 2:30PM EDT, the

In some cases I work with a client over a number of months or years. In these cases, I get to know the circumstances of their lives to a deeper degree; I better understand their character and they character of the people in their lives.

NOTE: Gryphon Astrology will be down for maintenance for a few hours sometime in the next few days – if it is down, just come back a few hours later.
I just returned from UAC in New Orleans yesterday. It was a great conference, with many eminent speakers and fascinating presentations. The conference culminated with the Presidential Panel, where five astrologers, each using different techniques, made their prediction for the winner of the 2012 elections. The participants, in alphabetical order, were Chris Brennan (Hellenistic), Gary Christian (Uranian), Edith Hathaway (Vedic), me (Traditional), and Claude Weiss (using a mix of mundane techniques). As far as I know, none of us discussed the outcome with each other prior to the panel. Yet everyone concurred that Barack Obama would be re-elected in 2012. I wrote about the 2012 elections here earlier this year…
Thursday the Sun, Mercury and Venus still square Mars in Virgo, so gears still grind. However, the Moon in Libra is out of range of aspect with the Pluto Uranus square and that is good mood news. It’s not a yippee-ki-yay mood exactly as it approaches a conjunction to Saturn (sobering), but that Saturn sits well with the stellium in Gemini and can be supportive.

There are calm skies today, along with nice returns as Luna trines persuasive Mercury and self-loving Venus retrograde. The Libra Moon helps us to put a new perspective on what we are experiencing, in order to create balance. To receive, ask politely, and within reason. If we handle matters correctly (and on time), the Saturn/Moon conjunction that occurs this evening can bring us a sense of satisfaction, rather than the gloom of life’s responsibilities. “The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them”. The weather was electrically entertaining over the weekend, so I took a video of the lightning scorching the sky here in Westmoreland County, Greensburg PA. Check out my very amateur iPhone recording on my YouTube channel.…
I discussed Neptune’s retrograde scheduled for next week in my Gemini New Moon article. But of course I am always a fan of putting up other people’s take on a subject.
Here are a few that might be of interest to you:

Neptune entered Pisces, its home sign, in February bringing some much needed optimism to the world’s energy. On June 4th Pisces will retrograde (appears from the Earth to be going backwards in sky, though this is only an optical illusion its effects play out in our realities). When this phenomenon occurs to the planet Neptune, we usually, and sometimes reluctantly, get a glimpse of what we have overlooked. This occurs right after a full moon and a partial lunar eclipse in Sagittarius (truth). These actions are square

In regards to projection, Mary asks on Do you need a villain in your life:
“Is there a general rule to follow as to where it is projected? Such as house ruler? Or the house the opposition falls in? or worst yet, the weakest person in your environment?”
Mary, of the options you listed, I would say it’s the worst scenario. A person picks an easy target, basically. Like water flowing to the lowest point. But an easy target is not necessarily “weak”. They’re just handy.
