Aries discussion: tell the other person why they’re wrong, get in a fight about it and don’t be seen to give any ground. Aries is the authority on what is right or wrong, but it is often not their own authority. They are the warrior serving the king or a ‘principle’. An Aries needs to find his/her own authority; it’s a visionary thing that doesn’t have to be defended at every turn.
We visit Pluto when we die. He is Lord of the Dead. When I die I want a coin put in my mouth to pay the ferryman. He is also the death of the old self when we go through a Pluto transit. And he is the ghosts we carry with us that need to die. Like Jung’s ‘poison pill of science’, which his guide Philemon told him …

Planetary ruler for

Happy Birthday:

Pratchett, 1941- Ann Margaret, 1926- Harper Lee, 1908- Oscar Schindler
The early morning
(3:05amEST) Moon/ Saturn square can bring up old emotional issues and cause a
sleepless night or one with haunting dreams about the past. The one upside is
that this transit often brings insights into these wounds and clues for
healing.  Luckily the rest of the day
will be much more pleasant, and once the moon moves into larger than life Leo
(12:10pm EST) our minds will be distracted by recreation and fun.  We should be mindful of over-doing physical
activity when involved in sports because it can be easy to get caught up in the
moment and pull or strain muscles. This is also

Mother’s Day is approaching (May 13th) so please enjoy this spotlight on the astrology of our favorite Hollywood moms! First up: Jessica Alba.

While moms (and dads) nurture their children with their whole selves, the moon sign has a lot to say about the way we care for and shelter our loved ones, especially our children. Jessica Alba, mom to 3-year-old Honor Marie and 8-month-old Haven…

The truth is out there . . . or in there.

One of the greatest devices of derision is the ad hominem attack. It was employed by Saul Alinsky and his disciples to perfection. By the way, remember Sandra Fluke? Rush Limbaugh? Last time I checked, he was still on the air, but it did give people a strong dose of raison detre, hitting the send button with vengeance and purpose on FB, as Limbaugh awkwardly waddled through the gauntlet. But that’s another story. Back to the ad hominem stratagem.

It kind of works like this; Person A says, “911 was a lie.” Person B overhears it and says, “Oh, you’re just a nutty, truther-birther with tin foil underwear” Without even hearing their arguments there’s a slam, a personal affront, mockery and an attack on their character.

Here’s another example. …

ElsaElsa » Delusions About Pluto In Capricorn

April 27th, 2012 @ 3:35 pm by ElsaElsa

There is a discussion of on the boards: What the funk is going on with the world? I tie the current decay to Pluto in Capricorn. FieryTaurus points out…

“Pluto will reach Aquarius in 2023 then go back into Capricorn for one last round until 2024…”

People mistakenly think this will all be resolved at the end of Pluto’s transit through Capricorn. Pluto through Sadge killed journalism and education. Do you see that resolved? No. It will not be resolved in my lifetime, nor is is likley to be resolved in yours!

There must be some Neptune thing going on, because it has been clear for a long time that Spain and Italy have probably unmanageable debts. Yet between periods of crisis (when some of the debts become due for repayment) the financial markets start to get bullish – until the next crisis, which is starting now over Spain’s debts. There’s a lot of false hope around, and it regularly gets replaced by fear. Maybe it is Neptune entering its own sign of Pisces.

The EU has Pluto and Uranus hard-aspecting its Sun for this year, next year and probably the year after. Fundamental change (Pluto) brought on by periods of crisis (Uranus), with Pluto empowering Uranus and Uranus radicalising Pluto. This change has not yet happened, and the EU is doing its best to hang on to the old paradigm. The …

Sun in Taurus/ Moon
in Cancer
Planetary ruler for
Friday- Venus
Happy Birthday:
1959- Sheena Easton,
1932- Casey Kasem, 1927- Coretta Scott King
The Cancer moon
promotes family issues, making this is a perfect time to catch up with the
young people in your life. Use this weekend to make sure that the next
generation is taken care of and on track. A get-together can reveal a lot about
how social and education issues are flowing in the lives of the children that
are important to you. Younger siblings, children and nieces and nephews need
all of the support that you can give them and you may get something out of the
deal, as well. Knowing that you are needed and have made a difference will be priceless now and in the long run.

nuclear core(Astrology Explored) My sister asked me what her chart says about what she should be doing. My response was immediate. “What can’t you do? You’ve got Pluto and Mars supporting your Sun. You can do anything you want!”

Tied together by the harmonious energetic connection of a trine, the Sun, Mars and Pluto provide a powerful engine for progress for the next seven days especially for earth and water signs. Or you can space out and let life wash over you like a lovely dream. Your choice.

For those that don’t know, three planets tied together by trines is called a Grand Trine. Grand Trines happens in the same element, fire, air, earth or water. This time we have an earthy Grand Trine, so we tend to focus, especially if you have planets in the earth element, on those aspects …

ElsaElsa » Love And The Black Box Theory

April 27th, 2012 @ 8:09 am by ElsaElsa

I am old enough to remember Saturn’s previous transit through Libra.  I know how important the decisions you make at this time are, and how long lasting their effects. With Saturn winding up in Libra, I find myself evaluating my relationships and striving to learn all I can about love and partnering.

I did a series of videos on synastry once, they start here: The Main Techniques Work, But Not Really! I talk about the limits of the various astrological technique when it comes to judging compatibility between two people. You may be able to see a clash of wills or a clash of tastes or an emotional affinity between two people but these things are minor, particularly in relationships that work.

Kiddie Star Signs » Grandpa Ozzy

April 27th, 2012 @ 4:30 am by Kiddie Star Signs

Ozzy Osbourne is a grandpa! His son, Jack Osbourne and soon-to-be daughter-in-law Lisa Stelly, welcomed a daughter which they named Pearl.

Pearl was born under the steadfast and practical Taurus Sun, but she’s got to keep up with the Osbourne family and her chart shows she should have no problem doing so! Her moon in Gemini very easily adapts to the world around her (although her Mars in Virgo…
