Mars and Saturn are retrograde right now. Mercury will turn retrograde within two weeks. I was talking to a client about the mental challenge of dealing with the retrograde planets, when frustrate progress when we are clearly hurtling into the future.
Yeah, Uranus in Aries signifies fast change and we see this all around, not just on the world stage but in our personal lives. For example, my son is growing right up. He’s on a mission as far as his education goes and his social life has exploded and become huge, seemingly overnight.

Aries – Those of you born in the early days of Aries are feelin this Big Change that is happening. It’s happening on a collective level, but it is hitting you on a personally, too. Oh, come on, Warrior, you know you love the excitement! It’s the Tower, being hit by a bolt of lightning and destroying old forms that no longer work…

Whitney Houston arrived in this world a little after sunset in the height of Summer. A Leo, with the Sun conjunct Venus, her beauty would catch eyes throughout her life – prior to making it as a singer, Whitney modelled. With a Pisces rising or ascendant, she had the ability to become what a person, situation or commitment required of her – but would this also be her downfall?
I remember singing along to ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ as a young girl in Sydney. As I grew and learned about love, her romantic ballads captured my heart – we both have Pisces rising so not only was her love my love, really it was a dream of everyone’s hope for love.
With Pisces rising, Jupiter becomes a focal planet in the chart. For Whitney, Jupiter was conjunct the 2nd House…
The first quarter Moon phase starts now, bringing energy and impetus. The desire to move forward or create momentum increases, making this a great time to take action/power through your to do list.
With this month’s first quarter Moon falling in communication oriented Gemini, one area of life that needs attention is your in/letter box and filing cabinet. (The Gemini Moon represents the process of connecting and sharing information with others.)
It’s also a time where curiosity is aroused, so treat yourself to books, courses, podcasts and other forms of mental stimulation now. (Yes, I have to confess I stopped by the library while running errands earlier to grab extra reading material!)
The first quarter Moon also aligns with the karmic south node, creating some extremes re weather patterns and emotions. You may have to look back before you can move forward now,…
From my weekly newsletter (sent tomorrow):
“Thursday is a mixed bag. We’ve got a mutable t-square along with a grand trine in earth which suggests people will be comfortable even though communications will be flying left and right. Some interactions will be heated with Mars in Virgo but you should be able to keep a foot on the ground, thanks to the grand trine. This
ought to be an interesting day…”

This is about the chart of Princess Estelle of Sweden, born on February 23, 2012 at 4:26 a.m. in Stockholm. She is the first granddaughter of the King of Sweden and supposed to be the Queen one day. She was born with the Sun square the midpoint of Ascendant and Midheaven so that her star will shine…It is a midpoint combination for a leader or someone drawing attention, and she will, of

The message Pluto pounded into my head over years of transits was to “mind my own business”. I discovered and rediscovered the futility of attempting to help people see the error of their ways and even though I was often correct in evaluating their situations, it didn’t make one bit of difference.
With a loaded twelfth house and a sympathetic, compassionate natal Moon-Neptune conjunction, I have always been drawn to helping those in need. The catch has to do with whether or not help will be appreciated and accepted. Helping those deep in [...]

I’ve been listening to early bluesmen and was particularly struck by the sounds of Mississippi John Hurt. Looking around for his birth date I was frustrated to find that there was confusion: two different years and three different dates. Hurt was undeniably a deep-feeling family man with a pronounced spiritual presence. So the first chart was Cancer Sun, Pisces Moon. That’s got to be it, right? But the second was Pisces Sun, Cancer Moon. Shoot. So having listened to so much of his music today I figured my best bet was to look at the possible positions of Mercury.

It’s a once-in-4-years-date today. Searching around for something of interest, I noticed an online commenter wondering whether there has ever been a set of twins born very close to midnight at either end of a leap-day, one just before midnight, one just after. If such twins exist one will have a birthday each year, the other, though no doubt used to celebrating annually with their twin, will have
