You read in astrology that sex is associated with both the 5th and the 8th house. This is confusing to the beginner but I can simplify it for you.
The 5th house rules sex for recreation. The 8th house rules sex for procreation. If you have an emphasis on the 5th or the 8th house in your chart, you probably can strongly relate to this.
For example, I have a packed 8th with nothing in the 5th and I don’t “play” sex. I say that without passing judgement. I know a lot of people who have sex for fun and recreation and see no problems with it. I just know it’s a different function and understanding this can be very empowering.
What is your prevailing attitude towards sex? Can you see this in your chart?
Jupiter is going direct shortly but being a slower moving planet it takes a bit of time to actually pick up speed and get going. Until mid-March it moves through territory covered in its retrograde period, its shadow. This gives the opportunity to readdress the issues it raised when it made aspects in retrograde motion.

Oscar Levant would have celebrated his 105th birthday tomorrow, 27 December. He died in 1972. He has been largley forgotten now, I guess, except among keen musicians, Gershwin fans and those keen on old movies, TV and radio shows. I needed a reminder of which face fit his name. Recalling the movie An American in Paris did the trick. Levant played a concert pianist, still struggling to make it
Fated dialogues color the day. There may be a resolution in understanding, a synthesis of information you’ve recently collected, and/or the completion of the crafting of an important message on which you’ve been working.
The subject or theme is likely related to that which held your attention on November 14 and December 2. These are the other two recent days when mental Mercury united with the destiny-oriented North Node like it does today.

With Jupiter direct, we’re moving forward. There’s an unleashing of visions and possibilities. We’re pushing towards a destination that can bring us riches (whether internal and/or external).
A sense of detachment comes in today that helps us to put the things into perspective. We can gain a greater clarity around all that is manifesting if we can step back for a moment and look at it from a wider, non-personal perspective.

5:36 am: Moon (Capricorn) square Saturn (Libra)
5:36 am: Moon void-of-course
9:14 am: Moon enters Aquarius
9:53 am: Moon (Aquarius) square Jupiter (Taurus)
10:34 am: Moon (Aquarius) sextile Uranus (Aries)
11:33 pm: Moon (Aquarius) conjunct Venus (Aquarius)

The Moon leaves Capricorn today, heading towards conjunction with Venus in Aquarius. Things lighten up as many go their independent way, having fulfilled their family (Moon) commitment (Capricorn).
Jupiter continues to trine the Sun and Pluto in Capricorn. This is some big daddy energy, for sure. I think it’s pretty interesting.

As the Sun stands still, life has slowed down and is starting to return to some semblance of balance. At the same time, a shift is occurring, and that means constantly shifting our response to stay in balance – kind of like walking on a tight rope.
The New Moon on Christmas Eve was a milestone for many, especially for those of you with emphasis in your natal chart on the early cardinal signs. The degrees from 0 to 4 Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn were activated for most of 2010 and 2011, thanks to the cardinal T-square that reached its height in July and August of 2010. Although that configuration has long since broken up, Uranus is still at 0 Aries, indicating that the changes that began happening back then continue to unfold.

Capricorn Harbaugh climbs to the top
Don’t have a ton of time to launch an epic post, but I do want to pen a few thoughts before another day passes by. The first being that I want to give thanks to everyone who has supported me and my various sites throughout the year. I could not do what I do without the forest for this tree. Hell, I’ll even throw in some thanks for the maggots and the worms, since they’re gnawing away at the detritus of our culture. Also, big ups to the ever-widening gyre of accumulated awareness that gains greater traction and depth with each breath we take. Our souls are velcro to the universe of love.
Yesterday was Jim Harbaugh’s birthday. We call him “Hardballs” over on the Niner forum. The first year coach with a stellium…
Wow. That was close. Capricorn New Moon is up!
As always you will find the whole article on Margaret Wendt’s website HERE.
The next 28 days will be a window to the summer. We have got a Pluto conjunct Sun/Moon and they both square Uranus. Pluto and Uranus will be in exact square this summer. We should consider these 28 days as an Open House to the summer. Anything that comes up that highlights changes you need to make in your life… well, do it. Or least put those changes on your to-do list!

Remember, Capricorn is the mountain goat who spends his time high on the peaks. During the Capricorn phase we need to stretch and put ourselves up high and make sure we…

“So this is Christmas.
And what have we done?
Another year over,
And a new one begun”
–John Lennon
Much of the world marks the birth of Christ on December 25 even though many of us know darn well that the chances of Christ being born on this actual day is pretty close to nil.
No matter.
He was the herald of the Age of Pisces, a symbol of man’s potential to rise beyond the limitations of our body so that we can reach out to the heavens.
We are young species compared to others on this planet. Our baser natures can drive us to murder our own kind, a rarity in the animal world. Yet we are a cooperative species, in which we will…
