The few days between Christmas and New Year are always something of a silly season. Nobody’s sure exactly what they’re supposed to be doing: predicting ? (I’m not getting into that can of worms); celebrating; trying to lose weight; preparing resolutions; drinking up what’s left of the Christmas booze; grumbling about TV repeats; trawling end of year sales events; stocking up for extreme weather

Sharita Star » Word Ponder: RESOLUTIONS

December 29th, 2011 @ 8:46 am by Sharita Star

Bet now that the Christmas crunch is over, you are moving forward to think about how to bring better energy into your new year. What other way do we typically do this than decide to make some resolutions within our lives as we are about to enter 2012?

When looking to the very word of resolutions, we see that it carries a name expression via Chaldean Numerology of the 46. Breaking it down to the 10’s The Wheel of Fortune, we find we are, when making them, at the very root number of the 1.

Certainly there is no coincidence in what the ancient Chaldeans understood about their number to letter match up system, which differs from the one that Pythagorean Numerology utilizes. As we know, anytime we take up with resolutions, we should be in the space of…

The Moon in Pisces becomes embroiled in the Mars Mercury conflict and Gemini catches it from all sides. People (and stomachs) will be upset over this.

The Sun is also tightly conjunct Pluto. Learn about the shadow side (Pluto) of the ego (Sun).

As for a spot of ease or a place to go for respite, Saturn in Libra trines Neptune in Aquarius, suggesting the compassion for humanity mixed with healthy boundaries is a strong play.

I did a chart for the last time Uranus ingressed in Aries, in the end of March of 1927, to see how it set the trend for the rest of the Uranus transit in Aries, Taurus and Gemini, and actually for the next 84 years.

From 1927 to 2010
Interestingly, we have a chart with a 15Âş Libra Ascendant, but with Sun opposite in Aries (meaning probably war between nations – its the seventh house). But Libra also featured the formation and breaking of alliances and the diplomacy efforts that marked most of the second World War and the following 45 years of Cold War, the United Nations and European Union. Uranus features close to conjunction with the Moon in sixth house, meaning a practical crises (but probably also the high degree of invention that followed the world war),

This morning I was listening to jazz pieces by Vince Guaraldi who was a San Francisco composer and musician that you probably know from all the Peanuts cartoons. Anyway, with that backdrop I went dreamily and merrily along the road of the world wide web and who did I bump into? Dane Ruhdyar! Which of course is amazing since Dane has been dead since 1985. Isn’t the WWW wonderful?

I jest but the truth is Dane Rudhyar is a famous astrologer who most of us astrologers (of a certain age and older) have his books on our shelves. Born in France he spent most of his life in the United states working as a musical composer, artist and then later philosopher and astrologer. He lived all over the US but certainly San Francisco was one of his ‘home’…

Star Struck » The Daily Planets

December 29th, 2011 @ 5:27 am by Star Struck

The Sun conjuncts small but mighty Pluto in the socially ambitious sign of Capricorn today. Chances are, you’ve been feeling this intense energy building for a couple of days already. It can manifest as anger towards colleagues or family members; perhaps even manipulation or obsession over where you stand in the hierarchy. But if you [...]

In October 2012 Saturn will enter Scorpio and spend the next two plus years in Mutual Reception with Pluto in Capricorn. Mutual Reception exists when the ruler of one sign is in the sign the other planet rules, i.e. Pluto rules Scorpio and Saturn rules Capricorn. The most recent example of two outer planets in this relationship was when Uranus, Aquarius’s ruler, was in Pisces and Neptune, Pisces’s ruler, was/is in Aquarius. The latter case was supposed to usher in a delightful period of harmony and spiritual development. Yeah, right! Looked much more [...]

O Lightning » Exxxcellent….

December 28th, 2011 @ 7:59 pm by O Lightning

I do think things are starting to pick up speed! I dunno if I would say it’s all going according to plan, but it’s all beginning to go, and there is perhaps, some plan discernible in the various machinations at work.

So this band, The hoof and the Heel is not half bad…

Sure the vid. is a little stagey but I’ve seen them play and they were the real deal.

What’s up with the name though?

“If I held out my hand, would you take it or mistake it
For I understand, and you hold it without waking….

Stolen moments keep on passing us by
I just don’t like that dirty look in your eyes
While we watched the fireworks fighting in the sky
Calling us in the night
To the…
