Carole Devine » The Current Climate of Change

November 27th, 2011 @ 6:02 pm by Carole Devine

Many of you may have noticed over the last few weeks that there was a climate of deception and change. We see it all around in the worldwide occupy movements, that were not reported in the mainstream media for a LONG time, and the flip-flopping of political candidates—not to mention the exposure of scandals like Penn State and even new information about Natalie Wood’s death. You may be wondering what is going on in the “astro weather” department. With the current indications, no one will get away with very much. People have had enough. You can expect further truths to emerge.

First there is the long, long cycle of Pluto. It went into Capricorn back in 2008, and that was the beginning of a clean-out of corruption and power misused. That was when we saw the economy begin to crack…

“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.” – Carl Jung

Where intimate relationships are concerned, there seems to be an ongoing debate regarding the significance of zodiac signs and astrology in general.

Some think astrology is quite helpful as a tool for self knowledge and it’s ability to highlight the themes and tendencies which may be present in their personal relationships, while others cast astrology as containing minimal merit and even playing  on the naivete and desperation of individuals who are searching for answers as to why they cannot find their dream partner or soulmate.

So….. the large scale question becomes: to what extent can astrology assist me in finding a healthy, loving and productive relationship?

In true Sagittarian fashion, I’m going to give it to you straight.

Astrology is a strikingly profound art. When…

Sagittarian Mind » What Is Synastry?

November 27th, 2011 @ 6:00 pm by Sagittarian Mind

“Why do I keep attracting all of these wild Sagittarians? Every time I turn around, they’re hopping on a plane somewhere.” “Gemini’s are no good for me….. Hot and cold, and definitely too chatty!”  “Will my Pisces Man remain loyal to me?” ”My last three girlfriends have all been Cancers, always wanting to stay home, cuddle, and watch movies. We never leave the house, but she can cook, though !” “My Capricorn boss wants me to work late AGAIN!” “I wish my Libra co-worker would make up her mind about what she wants for lunch.” “Well…. at least she doesn’t eat pixie sticks for lunch like that Aquarius down the hall.”

If you’ve ever found yourself asking questions or making statements such as those above, chances are that you’re on the right track to learning more about what relationship astrology, or synastry is all about.

Synastry, simply…

“As one, one, always one.
So what do I have to do to get you
to admit who is speaking?
Admit it and change everything!
This is your own voice echoing off the walls of God.”

First things first. It’s time for us all to remove our “fears” that are typically associated with this planetary transit. When approached with the right attitude, the very REwards from a Mercury REtrograde are ones that we are not meant to miss.

“Remember that planets do

ElsaElsa » Musing Under The Scorpio Moon

November 27th, 2011 @ 4:36 pm by ElsaElsa

From the Deepest Secret thread on the boards. I write:

“…more and more I feel that life really will be continued in future lives. It’s not possible to comprehend all that is presented that you know pertains to you.

I know there are stacks and stacks of things I can’t get to before I die. Things that are really personal to me, that are inordinately important to learn about but I can reach them. Lack of time. Lack of intellect, lack of perspective or all these things in some kind of combination prevent me from in depth study and I just wonder at this point if it’s just a preview. Like being in elementary school. You know you’re going to high school but you’re not there yet…”

Who can relate?

AstroFix » Virgo Sun in the 2nd House

November 27th, 2011 @ 4:35 pm by AstroFix

Young Ingrid BergmanYoung Ingrid Bergman: Leo rising, Aries Moon, Virgo Sun in the 2nd house.

You are becoming perfectly clear about what you have to offer. You discover personal power by steering clear of others’ muddled values, priorities and wishes for you – this includes maintaining distinct boundaries with regard to your personal finances. Your central purpose is to acquire what you want and have what you need without sacrificing your values. You shine through the unselfish giving of what you have to others (your talents and your possessions). Coming into your own requires lavishing meticulous attention on your body.  Attaining self-realization means that you won’t lose yourself to intense and chaotic relationships.  Being you means that “discipline” could be your middle name.

If I try to beat someone, then I can only get as good as they are. If

Zodiac Times » THE YEAR 2012

November 27th, 2011 @ 4:35 pm by Zodiac Times

I am going to base my predictions for the year of 2012 on Sibli chart out of all other possible horoscopes of the U.S., since it appears to be most responsive to actual events.
As you may guess, 2012 is promising to be another interesting year.
Since 9/11/2001, every year has been interesting. Until then, I did not even care much about politics, economy, or even mundane astrology. Now that I am clearly part of the “99″%, my life is increasingly tied up with the socio-economic tides sweeping the planet. So now I am taking a closer look at the ominous 2012 – which, according to Maya people, signifies an end to a 5000+ years cycle of the human history.
While I have no doubt that the world is going to survive it, the world as we…

I’ve been meaning to post this personal Mercury Rx travel experience story for a while, well – since Mercury was last retrograde!

Back in August, I was getting ready to travel to Australia, as I do a couple of times a year, for work and to catch up with friends and family.

(In case that seems confusing, in a nutshell I’m an Aussie, who fell in love with a French Canadian, and so moved half way round the world, sacrificing heat, sun and extended summers on the altar of love – which has been more than worth it! You can read more about me via my bio page here.)

I already knew I would be travelling whilst Mercury was retrograde, but since this was an airfare that had been originally booked for a trip in 2009, for a trip…

NemSometimes you read descriptions of an aspect in your chart and think, “HEY, that’s not me!” It’s really negative or it just doesn’t resonate as your regular self. And then sometimes there’s a perfect storm, or a holiday with lots of dishes and the potatoes don’t turn out and it’s, “oh… yeah.” Sometimes if you’re really honest with yourself you see it, or a corner of it. Looking at the negative possibilities of a particular aspect can help flesh out your blind spots and the dark places you may sink to at your worst moments.
