Those of us with our Solar Returns this week from the 29° Libra Sun folk like myself to the 0° to 5° Scorpio Sun crowd, will all benefit from the wonderful, productive trine between Jupiter in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn. You Scorps will have the bonus of your ruling planet, Pluto, acting in concert with Jupiter. Set your goals with care and go for it. Since Jupiter sits opposite our Suns, the likelihood is we’ll receive assistance of some kind from others.

Check your Solar Return chart to see where Jupiter [...]

I have been pondering  Occupy Wall Street for weeks. I’ve been waiting to see my way in to a coherent analysis of the phenomenon. In the mean time, I’ve looked at what other astrologers have been writing.

The consensus is pretty much – it’s the Uranus-Pluto square. I’d concur with this but add a very important factor: Neptune (idealism, mass movements, the collective).

As I wrote previously when discussing the Arab Spring, the last time Neptune was at this point in the zodiac was the Year of Revolutions (1848), when popular uprisings occurred in almost every major city in Europe. To read what I wrote in depth, click here. Sometimes astrology is just so obvious.

Ooo la la! French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy gave birth to a baby girl, Giulia, on October 19th.A graceful Libra with a sweet-hearted Cancer Moon, this is a little girl her country is sure to adore! The moon, in its own sign of Cancer and in its most comfortable 4th house of home and family, has a lot of power in Giulia’s chart. The 4th house is not always just about one’s personal home and

ElsaElsa » Astro-Tips: October 27, 2011 – Cat Fight

October 27th, 2011 @ 4:33 am by ElsaElsa

Mars in Leo squares the Moon, Venus and Mercury in Scorpio today and the phrase “cat fight” comes to mind.

Scorpio prefers to operate beneath the surface. This conflicts with Mars in Leo who will march right into the bar in full costume, to drag the bitch cheating with her husband right off her stool by the hair, and dramatically attempt to beat her ass.

If you want to find a more civilized way to use this energy, strive (Mars) to be creative (Leo), understanding that power (Scorpio) is attractive (Venus).

NEW MOON ENTERS SCORPIO  at  3° 3′ 0″

A COMMUNAL DANCE

Hillary Clinton, Scorpio Sun

Today the moon takes its first step on the dark, captivating stage of Scorpio.  It happens to be Hillary Rodam’s Clinton’s birthday today as well. As Secretary of State, I think this new moon would grant her extra power and  intuition. Keeping important information undercover while strategizing every single political move, should come naturally to her this year. The Sabian Symbol for this new moon is ‘A House Raising’, suggesting power through community. So, although I’m not very political, I was intrigued and decided to see what Hillary’s been up to.  Check out this link for a taste of this Scorpio New Moon energy in action!

It’s the day after the New Moon and we’re diving into transformation. It’s not only because the New Moon was in probing Scorpio (and the Moon is still in this all-or-nothing sign) but also because expansive Jupiter is making a harmonious trine with dig-deep-and-metamorphosize Pluto (exact tomorrow). It’s a great day to really assess the realities of situations. Don’t just accept things on face value. Truly go into the core of things to see whether they work and align with the possibility of who you are and how you want your life to be.

Also today, the Moon unites with communicative Mercury and love-inspiring Venus. Connect into your deep needs and values and give them voice. With the Moon making a tense square with assertive Mars, watch that everyday annoyances don’t trigger upset that’s greater than it needs to…

The weather in the cosmos are clear, with no influential aspects to distract us from our journey. Later this evening, we may feel challenged if we submit to suspicions as Moon conjuncts curious Mercury, and squares reckless Mars. Vibrations from yesterday’s Scorpio New Moon are still energized and quite active. With more self-control against distractions, sensitivities feel less threatened, and allow us to emerge and transform gracefully. “We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls.” Mother Teresa. AstroFix » Virgo Sun in the 1st House

October 26th, 2011 @ 4:53 pm by AstroFix

david copperfieldMagician David Copperfield. Claudia Schiffer once affectionately referred to him as, “her magic wand.” Ha!

You are becoming physically efficient. You discover personal power by developing acute awareness of your physical presence and the way it impacts the people around you. Your central purpose is to perfect your delivery. You shine by paying attention to the details of the moment and adapting your approach accordingly. Coming into your own requires finding work that allows you to eliminate distractions and streamline your technique. Attaining self-realization means knowing the difference between humility and self-deprecation. Being you means that you always think you can improve even when everyone else thinks you’re flawless.

I’m a classic example of all humorists – only funny when I’m working.
Peter Sellers

The real secret of magic lies in the performance.

Autumn, A Wood Path
Sanford Robinson Gifford (1823-1880)
It’s Sylvia Plath’s birthday: Sun Scorpio, Moon Libra, Aquarius Rising.
(b. October 27, 1932)
A real Scorpio has to find the authentic experience. A real Scorpio has to dive deep and come back again, transformed. Death is a very authentic experience. Here is a a fragment from her poem about suicide, Lady Lazarus. Lazarus himself came back from the dead, of course. Plath lives on in her poetry.
“…
Dying
Is an art, like everything else.
I do it exceptionally well.

I do it so it feels like hell.
I do it so it feels real.
I guess you could say I’ve a call

Out of the ash
I rise with my red hair
And I eat men like air.”

[fragment from Lady Lazarus]
