We are encouraged to produce generously from what we’re experiencing now as Luna enters the fertile soil of Capricorn. Our mood may be a bit more serious, but it keeps us focused and productive. It’s favorable energy to work hard for what we love, and who we love. By afternoon, our method of concentration could become interrupted as Moon squares sporadic Uranus. Later this evening, Luna creates a fortunate trine with optimistic Jupiter, then conjuncts with spiritual Pluto. “Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” Arnold Schwarzenegger. Tarot insight: King of Swords, Eight of Swords rx: We receive information that we prefer not to deal with.
Today can be a great day of accomplishments. As long as we’re realistic about the time and effort required to make something happen, and we approach situations responsibly, we can move mountains.
While it’s important to keep our eye on the prize (aka our goal), it’s a good strategy to build in allowance for flexibility into our plans so that if something unexpected occurs it won’t throw us (too much) for a loop. Deep feelings may be catalyzed later in the day. They may shift our sense of center, yet lead us to a more authentic sense of self.

Yesterday I had an opportunity to talk with an old friend about someone we both appreciated–”Dutch”. Dutch was my friend’s dog. A beautiful, noble mixed up mutt who had Shepard in him but not so much to be full German–thus the name Dutch. The reason for our call was Dutch died this month. My friend and I had lost contact for several years but I would hear through our mutual friend snippets of Dutch’s life.
About 13 years ago, Dutch was found roaming the streets in the MidCity section of Los Angeles by my two friends. He was probably under two when they got him but he was in bad shape. They quickly addressed his issues of worms, underfed body and matted fur. But, for a dog who had not been tended to properly he had an exceptional personality.…

Allergies are a reaction, a sensitivity, to agents in one’s environment. The most obvious examples of allergies are physical reactions, when particulates cause a physical reaction in the body. Sensitivity resonates to Neptune and Pisces. Sensing and particulates are a Gemini/Mercury matter. Between my Neptune and my Pisces Mercury and Sun, everything in my chart is touched by something Neptunian. What am I allergic to? What have you got?

When our mental faculties, symbolized by the planet Mercury, team up with the taskmaster, represented by Saturn, the result is a serious mind.
If you have this aspect in your chart, you have the opportunity to become an intellectual adept. Blending the mercurial curiosity and inquisitiveness with saturnesque discipline, steadiness and depth. However, you must earn this through hard work and earnest effort.
Your brain isn’t lightweight, that’s for sure. Constructive, practical thought serves as your ally, and your ultimate desire is to see your mental creations manifest in concrete form.
Water cooler conversations probably aren’t something that you look forward to. Nevertheless, it doesn’t hurt to make the effort to engage in some “small talk” in order to loosen you up a bit. Besides, a good laugh never hurt anyone. And don’t worry, you’ll still be able to keep your…
“‎Wholeness and longing are as common as breath, so much a part of the fabric of our being they often remain unseen. They meet us everywhere, setting direction, not detail. All we do is answer their call. The shapes we build about them become a life lived, unique in time.”
– Michael Bratnick
In a recent conversation regarding relationship compatibility throughout the zodiac, I made the comment that true astrological chemistry cannot be determined solely on the basis of sun signs. An in depth analysis of both individual’s birth charts is required. In response to my comment, the question I received was: “What entire chart?” I am now here to supplement my original response by providing an answer which is more comprehensive.

Ah…. relationships !!! If we’re not involved in one, yet want to be,  we would like to know why, as the Pharycde asks:”she/he keeps on passin’ me by”. Or, at the very least we’re curious as to whom we may be compatible with. If we are among the fortunate and a participant in a strong, enduring union we still would like to know what we can do to ensure lasting bliss.Unfortunately, some of us may also find ourselves entangled in a mess of epic proportions. Feverishly searching for the light at the end of the tunnel. Feeling like we’ve explored every nook and cranny and have nowhere to turn.
From time to time, I’m willing to bet that most of us have been in the grocery store checkout line and browsed through a copy of Cosmo’s “Bedside Astrologer”. Or, peeped a copy of Thelma Balfour’s “Black Sun…
It’s fall break for the kids here. I have a lot going on with my family and I have to finish the Bawdy Astrology class which I’ll try to do in the next few days. Meantime, this is short but potent in regards to perseverance.
I’ve learned a lot from my husband’s war stories over the years. This makes sense because I have Mars (wars) in the 9th (learning) conjunct Mercury (conversation). I want to know what you do when the guy next you, a friend, is shot and it’s clear he’s going to die. What does that feel life? How do you not turn towards your friend? How do you not lose your mind? His answers are educational and has application in everyday life.
