Elsa,
I feel like I’m in the midst of yet another transition or maybe still transitioning, having not yet found my place in the world, not yet found my love/life partner in this world, not yet found my livelihood in this world and desperate for all (and secretly wishing they are all intertwined with each other). It’s not for lack of opportunity or interested companions -I’ve had & have numerous wonderful men profess their love & desire to be married or build a life together. Ok, so maybe I’m a commitment-phobe aka having to have everything right & perfect before I can completely trust and commit.
Where is this ridiculous fear coming from? I know… it’s coming from me. I suppose the real question is, how do I bust it?…will I bust it?…so I might fully engage in

Today on the boards – How do you cope with moodiness in others?
People Who Don’t Realize They’re Gay
Although I am an experienced moody person (Cancer Sun, Mercury, and Mars conjunct), it is still uncomfortable, at times, to bear unpleasant moods. You know the ones: sadness, sadness, and, well, sadness, mostly.
Although I grew up a depressed kid…. Oh. Maybe that’s why. Because I DID grow up depressed and sad, that when those feelings show up again? Now? Here? When I’m no longer a kid and so powerless? I feel afraid. That maybe it’s back for good. Maybe I’m slipping. Maybe… nothing.  The past can be so damn powerful, eh?
And I give people my Virgo 2 cents all the time: sit with it, stay with it, don’t struggle, lean in, it’s okay, feel your feelings, sink if you need, distract, observe… because one of the things we know about moods is that they change and for…
Sylvia Plath was not the only poet born under Scorpio to be drawn to death’s glamour (see my previous post).
Here is an extract from Ode To A Nightingale by John Keats (born October 30).
…
Darkling I listen; and, for many a time
I have been half in love with easeful Death,
Call’d him soft names in many a mused rhyme,
To take into the air my quiet breath;
Now more than ever seems it rich to die,
To cease upon the midnight with no pain,
While thou art pouring forth thy soul abroad
In such an ecstasy!
…
Like Plath, Keats was dead before turning 30.

This well-written article adds another layer to my post on the theory of men’s decline in society. This article states that as a woman’s prospects narrow (the number of marriage-worthy men are falling and being replaced by “playboys” and … Continue reading →

Samhain (an ancient Gaelic word pronounced Sow’-en) is the ancient Celtic holiday that has come down to us as Hallowe’en (derivation of “All Hallows Eve”).  Although it is associated today with witchcraft and doings of the devil, in pre-Christian times Samhain was simply the time when the veils between the worlds were at their thinnest.  It was a time of reverence for the process of death and the mysteries of life. The astrological Samhain actually occurs at the midpoint of Scorpio which is the “cross quarter” between the Autumnal Equinox and the Winter Solstice and falls on November 8th this year rather than October 31st.
The women that some now call “witches” were the wise women – the ones who understood the mysteries of the stars, the ones with an affinity to the healing powers of plants…the ones who helped…
The Moon leaves Sagittarius for Capricorn today as it conjuncts Pluto and squares Uranus. We’ve been dealing with this combination every 30 days for months now so the shocking reality is not that shocking.
Also, the Moon is supported by the Sun in Scorpio and while some may crash, most are going to be able to channel this intense energy in ways that are productive.
Last, Venus and Mars in Scorpio are now trining Uranus in Aries. This should alleviate tension by allowing people to detach from at least some of their obsessions.
How are you feeling about the state of your life at this point?
