It’s dreary out as the Moon in Capricorn squares Saturn.

Mars squares Venus and Mercury in Scorpio adding angst to the equation.

There are some bright spots, though. People who can transform garbage into fuel can thrive in this climate.

When we think of a New Moon, it is easy to visualize the Conjunction of the Sun and Moon as both a phase of an ending and a beginning. You can look up at the sky and see the sliver of the Waning Crescent Moon and watch as a day or two later, there is no Moon just the shadow of where it was. A day or two after that the Moon begins to wax and you can see a new sliver forming again. There is something so inherently beautiful about the Moon in the Sky during this phase. It has been calling to my soul since I was a child and I first had memories of seeing it. I find watching the first Stars shining at twilight, often the planets Venus and Mercury, to be equally awe inspiring.…

Happy Halloween!

With Venus squaring Neptune, it’s a great day for imaginative artistry, which may be quite beneficial in creating an inspired Halloween costume. With Neptune encouraging boundarilessness and Venus related to all that’s sweet, it may seem even easier than usual to easily [over]indulge in Halloween candy

Also today, be careful about being too idealistic in love. See if you can see the other for who they are, rather than getting caught up in who they may possibly be one day. It’s great to give people the benefit of the doubt but being in the land of “what’s possible” can be done while holding ground along the shores of “what’s probable.” If not you may find yourself disappointed and/or discouraged.

Love Horoscope for the Week of October 31

There’s magic in the air, just in time for Halloween. If you normally sit out the costume parties, get in on the fun this year. With a sky full of drama, you might as well give in to the moment and find an alter ego to dress up as. Becoming someone else for a night may even help you reclaim a part of yourself you ditched eons ago. Read More ››

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for November 2011

We are now deep in the season of Scorpio. One of the most notorious signs, Scorpio brings with it the sensation of every taboo, every desire, every secret fear. Scorpio people are often treated as if they are visitors from the land of the unspeakable, who can bestow pleasure or pain with a…

Happy Halloween, also known as All Saints or All Hallows, and the Mexican Day of the Dead.

It’s no accident that these religious holidays were established at a time when the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest and most permeable. Astrologically, this phenomenon matches well with Scorpio, sign of death, transformation, and rebirth.

A growing number of people are becoming attuned to other dimensions of space/time, so I expect that many of you will have unusual experiences in the next week or two. Besides being in this seasonal space between the world of the living and the world of the dead (the material and energetic planes), we’re in a cosmic place of transition. More and more people are becoming attuned to this alternating vibration.

Although the skies can feel gloomy as Moon travels through Capricorn, we are urged to use our determination to work past inner doubts. Responsibilities and duties should be priority for inner security. Later, we become hungry for something that really isn’t quite there as Venus squares Neptune. What we have held onto tightly, manages to evaporate. Be mindful of thoughts and actions, just for today. Happy Halloween!

“If we have not got time to hear the soul, to listen to its values, to allow it to touch in to the divine feminine that knows us before we were born, and to live that reality, despair sets in. And when despair sets in, there is an undermining of the culture. People turn to addictions in order to try not to live at all.” – Marion Woodman, Conscious Femininity

Venus is moving into a square with Neptune, god/goddess of the ocean. Exact on Monday, the Venus-Neptune square evokes a longing to connect with Source, higher consciousness, the divine. Venus is in Scorpio, and sexuality, intimacy, and emotional deep-diving are potential paths to experiencing Neptunian nirvana — and/or Neptunian delusion, disappointment and despair.

Venus and Neptune have an astro-mythological affinity. In one version of her…

How do you handle restriction? I started thinking about this because the Moon is in freedom-loving Saggitarius right now but will be heading into buttoned down Capricorn later today. That’s a shift from taking in everything you can (Sagittarius) to … Continue reading →
