Frank the TankI got out last night and ran into some Venus Pluto “corpses,” and you know what? It was fine. I got out and acted shiny (Mars in Leo) and felt shiny (Moon in Leo). I like what Elsa had to say about Black Moon Lilith opposing Saturn and delaying negotiations. With a stellium in Libra and Mars in Leo opposing Vesta (passions and what’s sacred) it’s a good time to have fun relating. Skip the negotiations and do what you like to do (Mars sextiling Venus). So what if a corpse pops up? Don’t negotiate with it. You can say, “hey!” step around it and move on.

Troy Davis astrologyDespite the efforts of Pope Benedict, former President Jimmy Carter, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, former Congressman Bob Barr (R) and former FBI Director William Sessions, Troy Davis (born October 9, 1968, time unknown) was put to death for the murder of police officer Mark MacPhail in 1989.  At the time transiting Saturn was sitting on his Sun.

Mr. Davis’s innocence was widely proclaimed, not only by his supporters but also by seven out of the nine witnesses that testified against him at trial.  Mr. Davis’s case is not the only one where an innocent man has been put to death for a crime he almost certainly did not commit.  The Innocence Project has a long list of convicted felons who were later exonerated, and here in North Carolina where I live the entire State Bureau of Investigation has been…

Jerry Seinfeld is not only funny and weird, he’s encouraging his kids to be funny and weird as well. Jerry said in a recent interview:"I think it’s fun to be funny and I push it on the kids, too."He tells his kids: "Don’t be embarrassed. When you’re acting silly, it feels weird, but this is what makes life more fun." His wife, Jessica, also says: "Weird is good," and understanding that helps

Tracys Astro Salon » Financial Astrology

September 24th, 2011 @ 10:00 pm by Tracys Astro Salon

I remember 10 years ago, in the days that followed 9/11, Rudy Guillani was giving so many press conferences on the air quality and the smoke and ash that he felt the need to remind everyone that he was not a doctor, although he admitted he was starting to feel like one.

In the case of astrology, I know I feel similarly, when we are talking about Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn (2012-2016) all of us astrologers can’t help but sound like financial astrologers. Which started back in 2008 when we began to speak of the tide of turmoil coming with Pluto’s move into Capricorn. Because Capricorn rules business and wall street and banking institutions (and government), we just are going to be talking a lot about those things. Thus, we all start sounding like financial astrologers.…

Kelly Surtees » Sun in Libra: Planets in Focus

September 24th, 2011 @ 7:05 pm by Kelly Surtees

Whilst in Libra, the Sun links to other planets. Here’s what to expect and when:

Sun/Uranus, September 26
The pendulum swings between ‘me’ and ‘we’. Balance too much togetherness with time apart. Regardless of your love status, planning time with others (friends or a partner) is important if you’ve been spending too much time alone. Be prepared for surprises!

Sun/Pluto,  September 28
Power and control themes are highlighted. Challenges between personal desire and professional commitment may emerge. Aim for conscious expressions of power. Being honest about your motivations helps prevent betrayal. Avoid controlling people.

Sun/Saturn, October 13 – 14
The fusion of the Sun (identity) with Saturn (maturity) unleashes a grown up energy that encourages everyone to take

Saturn

greater responsibility in life. The cosmic spotlight is on issues to do with boundaries, limits and the start/end of cycles.…

scorpio post cardThere are a lot of passionate comments on the Scorpio freezing people out blog. It occurs to me if you’re boring, a Gemini will lose interest and they’ll be out of there. They’re not going to hang around with you when there are endless other options to explore.

I like Aquarians and they like me too, short term. I generally turn out to be waaaaaay to dense and intense for long term association and was dumped by many of them up  until I learned how important it is to give these people space.

Lauren Lesko » Radiant Light

September 24th, 2011 @ 2:07 pm by Lauren Lesko

“If you could get rid of yourself  just once the secret of secrets would open to you”

Pluto is that aspect in our psyche that rids ourself of dead or dying aspects of ourself. Pluto is farthest from the light of our consciousness and closest to the core of our primordial instincts, which is why the process of psychological death and rebirth that Pluto promises often feels like it is coming from forces outside ourself and beyond our control, rather than within ourself and actualized by ourself. Pluto, the celestial messenger of mercy, swiftly delivers a death blow to our psyche removing thought patterns and emotional attachments in ways that rarely feel merciful. Under the influence of Pluto we are forced to face our demons and journey into the darkness of our soul and stripped bare of our…

Lauren Lesko » A Wisdom That Heals

September 24th, 2011 @ 2:07 pm by Lauren Lesko

click on the image to read about the art
New Moon Yearning” All of  life springs from the primeval waters that flow from the tree of life and gather at its base, waters which are limitless, an essential sea circulating through all of nature. These waters are the beginning and end of all existence, the ever-moving matrix that nurtures and preserves life. The World Tree, expressing its milky golden sap, denotes ‘absolute reality’, a return to the center and place of origin, the home of wisdom that heals.”*Under the influence of Pisces I am having trouble giving form to my thoughts and  I am still sorting my impressions of this New Moon as it approaches the waxing phase of the cycle. Two days after the New Moon I saw a delicate sliver of light rising in the night sky,…

ElsaElsa » Astrology, Love And Death: Titanic, The Movie

September 24th, 2011 @ 8:44 am by ElsaElsa

titanticThere is a terrific discussion around death on the Death/Suicide video. It made me think of the Titanic movie which I think most have seen.

I was extremely moved by the movie, never mind the manipulations or whatever flaws and cheesiness that might have been part and parcel of the film. Fact is it depicted a momentous event and I was easily swept into the size and scope and emotion of the movie never mind all that water. I especially liked the length of the movie because it allowed me to be lost for hours but here’s my question:
