Kelly Surtees » Cosmic Crazy: Mercury/Uranus

September 27th, 2011 @ 4:28 am by Kelly Surtees

Does life feel a bit hectic for you? Are you finding schedules or plans changing unexpectedly? Are things being said that surprise, shock or liberate you?

It’s been a full on few days since the Equinox, as the Sun, crossing into Libra, a cardinal sign, activated both unpredictable Uranus (this past weekend) and will soon square off with power planet Pluto.

Before the Sun squares Pluto, curious Mercury, who’s following closely in the Sun’s footsteps, faces off with Uranus (by  opposition). This is a classic cosmic ‘foot in mouth’ alignment, that, while encouraging the spontaneous sharing of ideas, brings a reminder to consider the ripple effect sharing unconventional perspectives may have.

Mercury is a planet linked to communication, business and general organisation so the next 24 – 48 hours are likely to bring changes + twists and turns in these areas of life. The best way to meet Uranus is to be flexible and spontaneous – bending a little is often better than resisting and then breaking.

Minds do open under influences like these and the impossible starts to seem possible. Radical ideas can traction as the pioneering spirit of the longer Uranus-in-Aries influence finds an outlet in what you say and how you say it.

There are reflections of the Uranus themes of liberation in this news piece, about women in Saudi Arabia getting the right to vote or the bizarre/shock factor highlighted in the way this 50 yr old French businessman is expressing his feelings for  his 20 yr old fiancée.
