“I was in this class once the professor didn’t like me so much which was okay because I didn’t like him at all.”  I laughed. “Yeah, he thought something was wrong with me. This was pretty soon after I got out of the military and I guess I hadn’t quite assimilated back into regular culture. I still haven’t but I was even worse then and I messed up on the word association.”

“What were you studying?” (…)

The Moon is currently in her home sign of Cancer, creating a chance to nest and nurture in advance of the weekend’s Virgo New Moon. With the lights, the Moon and the Sun, energising Cancer and Virgo respectively, health and especially food/digestion are in focus. If you’ve been neglecting your body or not eating as well as you could, the next 48 hours is a fine time to opt for quality at the table.

The Moon is on the move today, keeping cosmic appointments first with Jupiter and then Mars & Saturn.

Moon/Jupiter
The Moon/Jupiter aspects currently have lots of yummy reception, as the Moon in Cancer looks favourably on Jupiter, and Jupiter in turn looks favourably on the Moon. Generosity of spirit is easy to access under this aspect, so don’t hold back something you could offer to…

I have not been shy about calling myself a dog or a lizard or unevolved or whatever. I state that I am raw; that I work in a dirty grave and that I operate on instinct in large part. I may reason things out. I may have an intellect but I would never override my gut at this point in my life because my 8th house and it’s lower functions have proven to be so reliable.

educationSaturn is the teacher, the authority figure, the wise one. Jupiter rules higher education and philosophy. Saturn rules theory handed down from experience. Jupiter is learning that arises from experiential areas. They cross boundaries in places, I suppose, but Saturn solidifies while Jupiter experiments. Saturn is “hmm,” and Jupiter is “hey!” Saturn is time-tested and textbook. Jupiter is just now publishing.

The end of Mercury Retrograde is in sight. Since August 2, we’ve been compelled to slow down, revisit the past, and reconsider our dreams and desires. As Mercury stations — appears to stand still before reversing directions on Friday (3:03pm PDT) — we’re getting an extra-strong dose of this Retrograde energy, exacerbated by the potentially frustrating Mars-Saturn square.

Patience required. The cosmic message is to turn your attention inward, be with the Mystery, and listen to your heart. If you think you’re supposed to have all the answers and a clear plan for moving forward — think again.

Because of the Neptunian haze coloring this Retrograde, the lingering influence of the “shadow” period might be especially obvious. Although Mercury turns direct (forward) on Friday, we won’t fully emerge from the Retro effect until September 10.…

Tracys Astro Salon » Mars Square Saturn

August 25th, 2011 @ 7:00 am by Tracys Astro Salon

It is interesting that as we build towards tomorrow’s Mars Square Saturn, Hurricane Irene is also building in intensity. The parallels between the storm and the aspect are notable. Cancer is a water sign and Mars in that position churns up our emotions. Like Irene’s waves our feelings are building into large swells.

Libra is an air sign and Saturn is pushed by Mars which is intensifying our negative thoughts. Like Irene’s wind the velocity of those stormy thoughts is growing. I have noticed in talking with people lately it does not take long for every story to take a negative turn. The overall work we are all doing while Saturn treks through Libra is looking for balance. And for some people Mars baring down on Saturn is pushing frustrations. Anything that feels unfair is pronounced.

The aspect is…

White girl flash mob

“We the niggas you scared of, like bad dentists
Flow is anthemic, dirty like it’s plants in it
Sick, spit a pandemic, crack and Cancer mixed with cannabis
To have a bitch, ready to stab a clit with some glass and shit”

The words are disturbing and devoid of any kind of ironic distance or nuance, without context or back story and narrative, they still present a chilling look into what could be the most dangerous generation this planet has ever seen. Those are lyrics from Tyler The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt. If you haven’t heard of them, you will, especially Tyler, the twenty-year-old leader of the L.A. hip hop collective(s) “The Wolf Gang” and “Odd Future.” Part skate rat, part devil-may-care situationist, his latest video/track, “Yonkers” makes Lady Gaga and Jay-Z’s presentation…

After the excitement of Leo season with Mars in Cancer aggravating the Uranus-Pluto square, the New Moon at 5° 27′ Virgo on 28 August 2011, 8:04 PM PDT, is positively mellow . . . something most of us will find very welcome.

This is a great New Moon to sit down and work out new routines and daily schedules. In fact, with Pluto in Capricorn AND Jupiter in Taurus trine the luminaries, you may not have much choice in the matter. Capricorn is an orderly sign and understands the need for setting [...]
