LUNAR-O-SCOPE

NEW Moon in Virgo

28 August

Feeling Purity

This New Moon in Virgo brings forth a peaceful energy to unfold as Venus is close by to make sure our initiations run smoothly. However the Virgin’s purity affects you, find out how this Lunar trigger can benefit you to take charge of what is meant to move forward within this next Waxing Phase.

Moon enters Virgo 28 August 2:13pm EDT to 30 August 2:25pm EDT

Lunar energy in Virgo calls for us to look to matters concerning health, order, routine, service, and efficiency in our habits. Our life force and values already have been playing together in a harmonious channel for us to tune into. Now as the Moon aligns, it’s time for new feelings to be explored here- removing any sense of doubt. Whilst it is not

It could be argued I have more nerve then sense.  Most of what I want to talk about is risky if not completely taboo but I don’t know what to do about this because like, Jessica Rabbit, I am drawn this way.

Most who read here know that I am very interested in what is deeply rooted, or in the blood. When you’re talking about blood, you are talking about race which is of course a hot, HOT topic. We’re supposed to pretend there is no variance between the races even though evidence to the contrary is in my face every day.

AstroTableTalk » Hurricane Irene

August 27th, 2011 @ 4:02 pm by AstroTableTalk

You know how accidents can happen to people who don’t want to change? Particularly when there is a major transit coming up, and they can no longer get away with staying as they are. Sometimes it’s easier to change. The amount of effort people sometimes put in to staying limited and miserable, because it is familiar, can be far more than the effort required to change and become happier.

I can’t help looking in this way at the storm that is starting to hit the East Coast of the US. I know it’s going to create a lot of damage and a lot of people will suffer, and I don’t want to make it sound like it’s some sort of divine punishment. But as an astrologer I get used to making symbolic connections. It is an art, because you…

In 2009, I wrote about how I saw history repeating – The 28 1/2 Year Saturn Cycle: History Repeats – A Personal Story Of The Cold War, The Iran Hostage Crisis, Jim Jones… And Love Unending. I wondered at that time if the trend would continue and how it might be impacted by my marriage.

My husband and I could have married when we were kids. We did not and so our lives took the courses they took.  Given a second chance we did marry and I wondered what effect it would have.  Would it set up a new cycle?

Does anybody remember at UAC in Denver when astrologer Shelley Ackerman analyzed the July 1, 2011 eclipse chart and compared it to New York City’s chart and predicted “mass migrations” because of weather? I do.

Of course, I thought her prediction would manifest immediately so I stayed out of New York City in the days that followed that eclipse, including the July 4 weekend. As I drove to work today and watched millions of New Yorkers heading out of the city because of storm-related evacuations, I made a note to self: Eclipses are usually active for up to six months after they occur. Anyway, bravo Shelley!

Steve Jobs has a vision of beauty.

Steve Jobs’ has a visionary Pisces Sun in the workaholic 6th house.

His chart is dominated by a dynamic Grand Cross that links Venus (beauty) with innovation (Uranus-Jupiter), vision (Neptune) and action (Mars). All are in the go-getting Cardinal signs.

He’s also brilliant at articulating and selling his vision. The planet of communication Mercury rules both his ascendant and his MC (public face). It’s in Aquarius, of course, that high-minded sign which so clearly rules both the high-tech industries and our visions of the future. But better than that, it’s in the playful, creative fifth house.

Here are some good things the founder of Apple has said and some aspects in his natal chart that correspond.

“Your time is limited,…

ElsaElsa » Star-Crossed Love

August 26th, 2011 @ 6:26 pm by ElsaElsa

Are some lovers truly star-crossed?

Some years ago, a double Scorpio pal of mine suggested that my husband and I might actually be star-crossed.  Thankfully, this did not turn out to be the case but at the time she said she thought this was very rare and one of the most painful things that could happen to a person.

Thinking about this, I can’t say that I have ever met a couple that I would consider “star-crossed”, however I live in a culture where people enjoy a lot of freedom around who they partner with.

Kelly Surtees » All About Venus

August 26th, 2011 @ 6:24 pm by Kelly Surtees

The Astrological Venus

Astrologically the core principal of Venus is to unite. She wants to “become one” with another. This unifying desire is unique to each of us, depending on where Venus is placed (by sign and house) in the birth chart. From this simple description comes the desire to relate and form partnerships.

Venus is the part of you that recognises you can’t achieve all your life dreams on your own and that significant partnerships are required to help you along the way. The placement of Venus in your birth chart shows your level of desire to form or not form partnerships and how easy (or not) it is to do.

Venus in the Birth chart

Venus is never more than 48 degrees in distance from the Sun. In your birth chart Venus will either be in the same…

Annalisa » Fall Fashion By Sign, 2011: Aries

August 26th, 2011 @ 1:55 pm by Annalisa

Fall Fashion, AriesWelcome to Fall fashion, Aries! Yes, I know that many of you just hate this subject but to give you equal time I will tell you of trends that might suit you or help those that dress for Aries. Although many Aries find fashion a problem they may have to dress for work and this can bring problems if they can’t find clothing they like! An Aries only likes to wear what they like, certainly!
