I don’t know if I’ve talked before about my theory as to why things go wrong during Mercury Retrograde (which occurs for 3 weeks, 3 times a year) but here it is: the world is not a separate ‘thing out there’. Many of you have been writing to ask about my hand problem and why the long absence, so I thought I’d just write a short blog post to bring you up to date. I had two terrible falls in June where I landed on my hands and injured them, though nothing was broken. Then I sprained both wrists trying to compensate for not being able to use my hands. So it’s been a really rough summer, with lots of pain, and I haven’t been able to be on the computer very long at a stretch.

Having gone through the second Mercury retrograde period of the year, which started on August 2nd and 3rd, and ended on the 27th, it seems refreshing to encounter a Virgo New Moon.

Many Mercurian things have happened, chief among them, the fact that most of the Northern Hemisphere celebrated their holidays, with many people traveling, cars being rented, people moving around, the stock markets trembling and a very Mercurian dictator and regime, brought down. I am referring of course to Libya and Muammar Gadhafi or Gaddafi (born June 7, 1942), who in his birth chart has 5 planets in Gemini, and in the chart of the regime or the revolution, built for September 1st, 1969 has the Sun in Virgo. A few people remarked on Brains, Brawn And Prowess vs Feminized Men to suggest I was sexist.  To tell you the truth, I didn’t really know what they meant.

A few days later, this came to mind again so I asked my husband what “sexist” meant. He said it was like being called a “racist”. I shrugged.

This morning I decided to look the word up.

The sign of Cancer is ruled by the Moon, motherhood, the emotions, femininity. Cancer rules the 4th house and the second angle, the IC or nadir. Dear Elsa,

HELP! I am divorced from a Scorpio and now I’m in love with another Scorpio (Sun and Ascendant) who is getting ready to propose! What is wrong with me that I cannot get away from men of this sign?

Can a person have a successful relationship with someone in the same sign of a past failed relationship? Won’t I ALWAYS look for/see signs of my ex in my current love?
