Idle speculation about my progressed Mars lead me to do a little research and I was surprised to find correlations to significant events in my life. What I looked at were the aspects Mars made by progression to my natal chart.

My natal Mars is in Scorpio on the twelfth house side of my Ascendant. Scorpio is one of the signs Mars is most comfortable in and even tucked away in the twelfth house, it still blessed me with physical vitality and strength. It also gave me tenacity and the ability to carry a grudge growing up. *grin*

Shout out to the Virgo’s !! Your season has finally arrived. You’ve played the background with a patient, humble demeanor and now it’s time to put your gift out into the world which you’ve been refining and perfecting behind the scenes. After all, the sixth sign of the zodiac is known for it’s immense capacity to serve and improve on an individual and a collective level.

Virgo wants to be adept. They want to hone their skills and become masters of their craft. Whether these abilities are released in the form of  Kobe Bryant’s triple doubles, or Nas’ monumental hip hop verses, the design is stellar.

Sometimes, we see your immense talent more clearly than you do. Even though your sign symbolizes the harvest season, I encourage you never to hide or lose your light underneath a bushel. It’s essential that

From 2008.  The graphic is from Cafepress and my husband has it on a shirt.

“Yeah, I went into Walgreens wearing this shirt people looked at me in my glasses and say, wonder if that hog can do anything,” he said. I laughed.

“Yeah, they wonder if a hog like me can do anything; reminds of the time in college where I knocked the captain of the football team on his ass. I mean I knocked the piss out of him. Knocked him right out of his chair onto the floor and knocked one of his buddies too. Big dudes these were, no one could believe it. You know the football players ate the Gods around there.” (swearing below the break)

From my weekly newsletter (sent tomorrow)

“The moon is in Scorpio heading into the weekend. It gets on well with the grand trine in earth which gives structure to the deep emotions of the collective as well as your own.  It’s smooth sailing up until Friday night at which point. At that point the moon collides with Mercury in Leo and we should see some theatrics…”

Last month, I found a huge number of artists born under a Cancer Sun. It seems that Leos are less prone to pick up a paintbrush. I think a lot of them might find being in a studio all day too lonely.

So no surprise then that possibly the most famous Leo artist of them all, Andy Warhol (6 August 1928), made sure that loads of people came to his studio, which he called The Factory, and helped him out. This is typically Leo in that it’s about having a big vision and organising people.

(Now if I were looking at film directors born under Leo, I’d find loads. That’s another post though.)

I’ve always found  the contrast between Warhol’s clinical eye and beautiful colours strangely cruel and…

The Little Prince and the BaobabsI have a friend who is starting a new job tomorrow. She has transiting Saturn exact on her IC. The IC is Moon-ruled and the Moon conjuncts Saturn tomorrow. The Moon is feeling, the IC is home and Saturn is restriction. Saturn on the Moon or the IC can bring emotional restriction and fear, which is pretty normal when anticipating a new job situation. The IC is part of the MC/IC axis which signifies career vs. home No doubt this new job will affect the way she splits her energy between career and home, create restriction though not necessarily in a negative way, definitely boundary-setting.

I strongly favor twitter over facebook and Google + but I’ve noticed that I really have to keep an eye on my feed. There have been weeks where it’s been blissful for me on twitter. I have just right mix of this and that to keep things interesting and then, WHAM! I add someone(s) and all the sudden, my twitter looks like, Spam Central or Preachy Central or Obsessive Central.

This happened to me a few weeks ago and I’d give anything to have a RESTORE button. I have not been able to get my twitter back to where I really enjoyed it and I only have myself to blame.

Since, I’ve been really aware these social networks play a big part in our lives. I don’t want to go to twitter and be irritated. I don’t want to…

Jupiter retrograde August 30, 5:17am EDT

10 Taurus 21

Sabian symbol: A woman sprinkling flowers

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system and he does everything BIG!

He is the thunder and lightening god who resides on the top of mountains and because he hangs out in lofty position he is our philosopher and education planet. When Jupiter retrogrades we redefine our philosophy on a subject and in Taurus we will be looking at our philosophies on money, properties, capital, assets and valuables. We will also ‘re-educate’ ourselves on financial and ‘valuables’.

Jupiter is the judge planet and all of us will judge our portfoloio with a keen eye. Even if you don’t have a portfolio you have things in your life that are valuable and during the retrograde you will decided if they are serving you.…
